Recommended Posts

Looking foward to the upcoming evening of rare classic animation on Monday the 6th of October. My friends, Tom Stathes and Steve Stansfield will appear with Robert Osborne that night to introduce rare silent and sound cartoons.I urge everyone who loves classic animation to tune in that night and hope that TCM will show more animation in the future.

Wish Mr. Canemaker could've had more time to talk about Winsor McCay.

After seeing his work, I'm pretty sure he had some....uh, psychological issues AND a pretty interesting history also.

Think a month's Friday Spotlight on Animation would be a great idea! :)

I'm on the West Coast and I'm just getting a repeat of the Winsor Mcay hour. I have been looking forward to this line-up for weeks. I wonder what happened!

Same on the East Coast.  I've already sent an email via the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of TCM.com; is there any other (or better) way to get in touch with them about this mistake?

It took me forever to figure out how to log onto this after years of not writing.  I too am on the West Coast & am really ticked off that the Van Buren 75 min. is missing, s/b on 8-9:15 pm.  How do we find out when it's rescheduled?

Such a disappointment! Hopefully it will be rescheduled in January, though it's too bad that we'd have to wait that long. I doubt they'll be preempting anything on the schedule to make up for this, so better late than never. (Maybe if they hurried they could schedule it over Prince Achmed, since it aired recently anyway, but that's doubtful, hah.)

If they scheduled it in January and put another day of animated films around it I'd reconcile...

Please stick it on demand, anyway.

Just spreading the news, in case there's anyone following just this thread and missed the update elsewhere on the board: TCM has rescheduled "Animation from Van Beuren Studios" for midnight on December 7th, 2014: It's also available via the Watch TCM app.
