katyscar11ett
I've always wanted to see Charles Laughton's Award winning portrayal of King Henry VIII but in all my searches have never turned it up. Has it ever been played on TCM? Is it a FOX movie and played on FOX? Is it still available? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
path40a
It's on DVD, and it's available from Netflix (I watched it within the last several weeks myself).

bhryun
Laughton was so fabulous in this role. He's fabulous in any role, really. One of my favorites is Witness for the Prosecution. It was his birthday July 1. I wish they would have had a Charles Laughton Marathon that day. Or did they and I missed it!?
alix1929
Great movie. I love his scenes w/Elsa Lancaster! All the more hilarious since they were married.
oregonlldist4
I just bought "The Private Lives of Henry VIII" which is on a 4-DVD box set called "Silver Screen Series" with sixteen movies on it. I bought it at "The Good Guys" for $9.99. Here are the sixteen movies: Home Town Story (50) Rain (32) Three Guys Named Mike (51) Whistle Stop (45) King Lear (53) Oliver Twist (33) The Private Lives of Henry VIII (33) The Rise of Catherine the Great (34) Lady of Burlesque (43) Of Human Bondage (34) The Southerner (45) Behind Office Doors (31) The Beatniks (58) Fight For The Title (57) I Cover The Waterfront (33) Life With Father (47) This is the oddest group of movies ever assembled in a box set but to have Henry VIII and The Southerner makes it worth $10. On Platinum (Lacrosse Wisconsin) and the quality is fairly decent for movies in public domain.
