Barton_Keyes
Here's something unusual I just noticed. On November 15, at 10:00PM, TCM will air the film DEAD RINGER (1964), with Bette Davis and Karl Malden. The version of the film that will be aired that night will be a pan-and-scan 4:3 version. The same film is scheduled to air on January 1 at 2:30PM, but that day's screening is listed as being shown in widescreen. What do you make of that? Ray Faiola
It's a 1:85 film. I'm sure they'll show it that way. All film prints are full frame to be masked. There is no panning or scanning whatsoever.
