bhryun
I've been trying to find the title of a movie I remember watching years ago, but haven't had any luck - Here's the basic plot device: Some fugitives are on the run and hide in a false compartment inside a gas tanker truck. Most of the movie is focused on the tensions between the fugitives, as well as on a leak that starts in their compartment - the end of the movie shows someone emptying fuel out of the tanker truck, and a hat / some glasses, etc. comes pouring out of the the tank....Anyone know the movie? markfp2
That was James Cagney, at his best, in "White Heat". TCM show it a lot and it's on DVD now.
bhryun
I don't think it was that - in "White Heat", they get out of the truck.......in this movie, most of the drama is focused on the guys inside the truck, and they never get out. During the movie, a leak starts in the tank, raising the fuel (and tension) level, and - at the end of the movie, someone starts pouring a hose out of the tanker, and you see some things (e.g., a hat, glasses, etc.) pour out of the tanker, implying that the stowaways drowned. I agree, that it was Cagney's best...."Top of the world, ma, top of the world!" > That was James Cagney, at his best, in "White Heat". > TCM show it a lot and it's on DVD now. markfp2
Well, you might be right. The only one I could think of with a tanker was "White Heat", but perhaps there's another that I've never seen. If there is, let's see if we can find the title, I'd sure like to see it as it sounds pretty interesting.
