I like Rafaela Ottiano (left) a lot. When I was watching She Done Him Wrong again last week, I was reminded about what great hair she has. Normally it's all bound up in a more severe style, suitable for the characters she usually played.  After Mae kills her in this scene, there is that amazing scene where Mae combs her (Rafaela's) hair.

Isn't this another" whatever floats your boat" kind of question?

I'D say----actress:  Ann-Margaret. or Raquel Welch

Actor:  Paul Muni, or Cornell Wilde.  OR Danny Kaye

OR, if you want to have a bit of fun----

LARRY FINE,  OR ISH KABiBBLE!

There were so many years ago...

For actresses I have to agree with your choice of Rita and of course your avatar,  O'Hara.

For actors, well my choice is the guy that always is at the top of such list;  Cary Grant.

Maybe it should be who had the best hair dresser (stylist) or cameraman?

A great question would be who has the best hair in a movie scene when there wasn't a hair dresser within 1,000 miles of the scene in the movie.

e.g. a gal in a western that has been on the trail for many months but still looks like a million dollars!

Now this is definitely something I can get behind.  I was just having a conversation the other day about how some actors have gorgeous tresses.  And now, onward:

Male

Dana Andrews (those....waves, he probably had one of the most perfect heads of hair I've ever seen on a male actor)

Paul Henreid

John Derek (I could lose myself in those sable tendrils)

Gregory Peck

Ossie Davis

Andy Griffith

Van Johnson

Freddie Bartholomew

Claude Rains

Richard Egan

Alan Young (so coppery!)

Female

Linda Darnell

Olivia De Havilland

Lena Horne

Eleanor Parker

Rosalind Russell (they definitely didn't give her enough opportunities to let it down, in my opinion)

Deborah Kerr

Shirley Temple (of course)

Rochelle Hudson

Ruby Dee

Lauren Bacall

Dorothy Dandridge (I dedicated a high school art project to her and her fabulous hair)

I can only (barely) see Norma's photo on a separate link. Why was her photo taken in a dark room? LOL!
