muffet444
Who is the actor playing the funny waiter in this movie?
ayresorchids
Eric Blore. He also appears in Top Hat, which is on tonight at 8, and in Swing Time (on after that) and Shall We Dance.
coffeedan1927
And don't forget FLYING DOWN TO RIO! That makes Eric Blore the most frequent co-star in the Astaire-Rogers films -- five appearances altogether.
classicmoviedear
A great actor! He also played with several other great actors and actresses. I know I always laughed when I watched him! Tabitha
shainablue1
I loved the line where they were speaking of geology in The Gay Divorcee, and Eric Blore says " I have an unnatural passion for rocks" and Astaire says, " Well, you oughtta be ashamed of yourself." So subtle, but hilarious when you think about it!
fssbdgtsue59
Shainabluegirl--you really got to my funny bone with that one! I'm still laughing! Once in awhile somebody comes up with a good one and this time it was you! Thanks for making my day! Sue
Kinston
In another Astaire/Rogers movie, Flying Down To Rio, there is a scene of girls strapped down to the wings of airplanes and dancing. During the dance one of the girls straps come loose and she falls, screaming, and lands on a wing of another airplane. What I would like to know is: Was this done on purpose, as a part of the film, or was it an accident?
JackBurley
It was definitely done on purpose to add exoticism and suspense, which apparently worked.

Everything was planned.
ayresorchids
I agree, though, that these are some of the most convincing process shots in the history of the movies!
