NipkowDisc
that korean war film with John Payne as a sergeant and his leather-bound bottle of scotch. an enjoyable little war film. grabbed it several years ago with french titles but thankfully no subtitles or dubbing. first time I saw it was on a lazy saturday afternoon some 40 years ago after the network cartoonies.another film that tcm has forgotten. I can remember seeing this on tcm...but not lately.
NipkowDisc
Well, got thinkin' on this underrated little war film and decided to break it out. found it on the first spindle I pulled out, extracted the dat, converted it and put the mpeg through virtualdub to spruce it up a might. will try to see if I can get it on a dvd since the framerate is 23.98. will see what it looks like after I put it through ConvertXtoDVD which is a terrific encoder. if not I'll put it on another cd. this film be even more rare now then when I grabbed it. directed by Allan Dwan with music by Hans J. Salter. some french culture for ya's... the french title is "Teufels-Kommando".
