MilesArcher
Yes. The first two photos are from "The Gas House Kids Go West" with Vince Barnett, and "The Gas House Kids In Hollywood". Carl Switzer's character was named Alfalfa, just like in the "Our Gang" comedies. Tommy Bond had played Butch the bully in the Our Gang series, but he and Carl Switzer were really good friends. Now, do you know this young actress? No? Well maybe you remember her looking like this a few years later : Who is she?

MilesArcher
Sorry, Princess, but no. This girl had her best run as a child actress in the late fifties and early sixties. You may remember her from a memorable Twilight Zone episode, or later in a Disney show playing a girl named Willadean.
lavenderblue19
I knew it wasn't Patty, but was driving me nuts trying to remember which movie and tv shows I knew her from. That's Terry Burnham, she played the Sandra Dee role Susie as a child in Imitation of Life., Lana's daughter. Wheww... what a relief to finally remember her, I was getting a headache trying to remember LOL
lhowe
She looks a bit like Thelma Lou's cousin from the Andy Griffith show in the later picture. The one who comes to visit and they had to get a date for her to the dance. She was a great character actress. Is this the same person?

Good heavens, lhowe. If I'm thinking of the same episode, Terry Burnham would have been about fourteen at the time. She was born in 1949. Her 1960 Twilight Zone episode was called "Nightmare As A Child". Her Disney appearance was in 1964. Here is her photo from that show: The Andy Griffith episode that I'm thinking of featured Mary Grace Canfield as Thelma Lou's cousin. Barney sets her up with Gomer. She was about forty at the time. She later became a regular on "Green Acres". Maybe it was the hair style?
MilesArcher
Who is the young girl pictured with Bing Crosby? She would later become a regular on a TV sitcom.

MilesArcher
That's right, Princess. That photo was from "High Society". She played Grace Kelly's young sister, the role that Virginia Weidler had played in "The Philadelphia Story". Now, who is this tiny young actress? Those two look so much alike, I don't think their mother could even tell them apart. LOL
MilesArcher
Sorry, Princess. this little girl was in quite a few movies in the 1940's. Her career only lasted until the mid-1950's. Here she is with Butch Jenkins.

MilesArcher
Yes, Lavender. It's little Sharon McManus. The first photo was from a 1945 movie called "Bewitched". The one with Butch Jenkins is from "Boys Ranch" (1946). You may remember her as a little Mexican girl dancing with Gene Kelly in "Anchors Aweigh". They can dance all day and night here and not get tired. Now, who is this former child star?
lavenderblue19
Miles, I know who she is and a movie that she played a character who wasn't very nice, a different image from the way most of us think of her when she was younger in films. ( there's a hint) but I'll give someone else a chance to answer
MilesArcher
Maybe you will recognize her from this photo: That's Van Heflin with her.
LawrenceA
It looks like Peggy Ann Garner, of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn fame. She had that short, curly blonde hair in a lot of her adult roles, like the episode of The Outer Limits that she was in.
MilesArcher
That's her, Lawrence. Before you post the next one, here she is with a couple of guys in tuxedos. Do you recognize them? It was some time ago. It's your turn, Lawrence.
LawrenceA
I can't see either of those new pics, Miles. They're showing up as broken links. Next: Who is this person? It's an obscure one, although of historic cinematic note.
