MilesArcher
I must have lost track of this thread, Azure. It is indeed Ralph Morgan.

shutoo
Know the actress in the middle? The man on the left was famous too...
Azure
I'm pretty sure that man on the left is Florenz Ziegfeld. I'm not sure about the actress in the middle, though. She doesn't look like Billie Burke, Fanny Brice or any of the other actresses who are normally associated with him (as far as I know).
shutoo
I can't believe you got Ziegfeld! (I always pictured him as William Powell..) but, believe it or not, that is his wife, Billie Burke and this is a still from Glorifying the American Girl (1929) https://free-classic-movies.com/movies-02/02-1929-Glorifying-the-American-Girl/index.php Your thread, Azure! Azure
Thanks, Shutoo. I've seen pictures of Ziegfeld before, so that's why I was able to recognize him in the photo. When I saw a picture of him for the first time, I was surprised at how un-William-Powell-like he looked, too. LOL! I can't believe that was Billie Burke. She looks completely different in that photo. == Next: Who is this little lady?
MilesArcher
I think it might be Susan Hayward. The reason that I think that is because that outfit was apparently one of her favorites. She wore it often, as you can see below:

MilesArcher
Pictures in profile are tough to identify, especially of women because hair styles and hair color change a lot. I recognized the man before the woman. It looks like Mark Stevens, but he looks older here than I remembered him looking when I saw him in "The Dark Corner" on TCM. I looked up his later movies and I came up with the movie "Time Table", which he directed and starred in. The woman would be Felicia Farr.
shutoo
Great sleuthing! It is Felicia Farr a few years before she became Mrs. Jack Lemmon... Your thread, MilesArcher!

MilesArcher
More than ten days and no guesses? No. 1 is a raspy voiced little guy who played train conductors in two well known musicals. He often played store clerks and bartenders. No. 2 played bankers, businessmen and scientists. He played a banker in a Oscar winning picture about servicemen returning from war. No. 3 played scared little clerks who often get beaten up or killed by the villains. No. 4 was almost always a scientist. He had a recurring role as a police forensic scientist on a long running cop show. No. 5 played mothers of the stars, scrubwomen, and cooks, often with a thick Irish accent, although she was actually from Scotland.
