TopBilled
Those two are correct. Perhaps someone else can guess the other three. Sounds fair. If another ten days go by, then I will post a new picture.
lavenderblue19
More than ten days and no guesses? No. 1 is a raspy voiced little guy who played train conductors in two well known musicals. He often played store clerks and bartenders. No. 2 played bankers, businessmen and scientists. He played a banker in a Oscar winning picture about servicemen returning from war. No. 3 played scared little clerks who often get beaten up or killed by the villains. No. 4 was almost always a scientist. He had a recurring role as a police forensic scientist on a long running cop show. No. 5 played mothers of the stars, scrubwomen, and cooks, often with a thick Irish accent, although she was actually from Scotland. 2. Charles Halton- It's A Wonderful Life 3. Byron Foulger- a ton of tv appearances and was in Sullivan Travels
MilesArcher
Very good, Lavender. Charles Halton was the bank president in "The Best Years Of Our Lives". Let's see if someone can get No. 4. He was in just about every TV show from the 50's to the 80's. You may remember him as the choir master in Mayberry.

Olan Soule. A few months back I watched an episode when Barney wants to be in the choir but his voice is dreadful and Soule was the choir master
MilesArcher
I stand corrected. The was indeed Charles Halton, but I got my movies mixed up. Ray Collins was the bank president in '"Best Years". See, these guys were so typecast that their movie appearances tend to run together in our minds. Olan Soule is correct, as well. Besides being Mayberry's choir master, he was in both the fifties and sixties versions of "Dragnet", playing a police forensic examiner. He was in "Captain Midnight' playing the Captain's scientist friend. He was the voice of Batman in the "Superfriends" animated series for years. Lavender, you're up next. Here's one. Can you name these four well dressed lads and the movie that this photo is from?
Azure
I'm pretty sure that this is a scene from In the Money. From left to right -- David Gorcey, Eddie LeRoy, Stanley Clements, and Huntz Hall.

MilesArcher
At first I thought that it might be Leonard or Sidney Kibrick from the Our Gang films, but now I think it might be Danny Kaye.

MilesArcher
The fellow on the right in this photo is Quentin Reynolds, an author and war correspondent. The other folks are more recognizable. This was taken at the Stork Club in 1942, just prior to a Navy Relief Fund show. Can you name all of the other folks?
Princess of Tap
This is an odd group gathering here--some are extremely left-wing and others are extremely right-wing, but I guess this was a bipartisan war effort. Walter Winchell, Myrna Loy, Loretta Young, John Garfield and a pleasingly plump and retired Janet Gaynor.
MilesArcher
Terrific,Princess. I didn't know if anyone would recognize Walter Winchell, and Janet Gaynor certainly looked different. I'll leave it open if someone wants to post a photo, otherwise I'll try to get back here later.
