No. 3 is Charles Boyer on a game show, probably "What's My Line?". No. 5 is Dennis Hopper. No. 6 looks to be a young Herbert Lom. No. 7 is a picture that I've seen before. It's Rod Steiger in disguise in a movie called "No Way To Treat A Lady". No. 8 is Ian Holm. No. 10 is Shepperd Strudwick. What do they have in common? They all played Napoleon Bonaparte in movies. That leaves Nos. 1, 4, and 9. We've all heard of the epic French silent film, Abel Gance's "Napoleon", so I looked up the cast list and found that the actor who had the title role was Albert Dieudonne. I found his photo and it is indeed him. I'm not sure on no. 4. I know that Marlon Brando played Napoleon in "Desiree", so I'm just guessing that no. 4 is a photo of Brando as a young boy. I was not able to find that photo myself. No. 9 was the toughest because I was sure it was Donald Pleasence, but a check of his filmography did not show him ever playing Napoleon, so I figured that it must be someone else. I checked other movies with Napoleon as a character and found that Woody Allen's "Love And Death" had an actor named James Tolkan as Napoleon. When I checked his photo, I was sure I recognized him as the vice-principal in the "Back To The Future" movies. So, here is my list of the actors and the films where they played Napoleon: 1. You almost lost me with this last one. Now, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis are just three examples of popular singers who were given a chance to make movies and had very nice movie careers. Many pop singers have made movies, some made quite a few and some made only a couple. Here are photos of some singers who were recording and concert stars before appearing in films. He once sang in a movie that starred Judy Garland. He also introduced a couple of Gershwin songs that would become standards. No. 4 sang with the Ted Weems orchestra before Perry Como did. He also had a tenor voice and he sang in movies in the 1930's. He and Ginger Rogers sang a duet on a song that would become a standard. MilesArcher Posted August 14, 2017 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Yes Rich, Kenny Baker introduced two of George Gershwin's final songs, "Our Love Is Here To Stay", and "Love Walked Right In" in the movie "Goldwyn Follies", which was released after Gershwin's death. Kenny Baker also appeared in "The Harvey Girls" with Judy Garland, and "At The Circus" with the Marx brothers. He had been a singer on Jack Benny's radio program, but he left to make movies. Benny replaced him with another young tenor named Dennis Day. We still need no. 4 and no. 6. No. 4 once sang in a movie that starred Joan Crawford and Clark Gable.
