Ok. You talked me into it.

Although the mother was a film actress, she is more well known

for her own role in a popular 50s - 60s tv series.

Another clue for our actress

After winding up her role in the aforementioned tv series

she later reprised that role in 30 made-for-tv movies.

This actress and actor, who are mother & son in real life, portrayed mother & son twice on the screen. Once in a feature length film - again in his tv series.

Name the actor, actress, film, and tv series

Barbara Hale and her real life son William Katt. The film is BIG WEDNESDAY and the tv series is THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO ????

AHA !

You are correct!

William Katt is the actor; Barbara Hale, the actress; Big Wednesday (1978), the film; and The Greatest American Hero, the tv series.

The Greatest American Hero - Episode 29: Who's Woo in America (1982)

Barbara Hale was Jack Barlowe's (William Katt's) mom (Mrs. Barlowe)
in the movie: Big Wednesday (1978)

And the 70s sci-fi horror film Ms. Hale was in (with her real-life husband, Bill Williams)..
                        The Giant Spider Invasion (1975)

Thank you, lavender! Good work.

Wild guess--Helen Hayes and James MacArthur in Hawaii 5-0.  If I remember correctly, Hayes played the aunt of Danny Williams.

Thanks lavender.

Not only was two brothers in the supporting cast of this movie, so were the leading lady's two brothers, the director's brother, and the leading man's four children. Name the movie.

Hint:  The movie was filmed in Ireland.

Correct Miles. Jack Lemmon and his taller and look alike son Chris Lemmon. Jack and Chris appeared in the 3 films together- Airport 77, Dad, That's Life.

Chris Lemmon wrote A Twist of Lemmon, A Tribute To My Father. Chris had a guest recurring role on Knots Landing. He played a crazed man who worked with and was in love with Karen (Michelle Lee) when Karen worked at a tv station. He tries to kill her by planting a bomb, but it backfires and he's killed instead. Many episodes had him stalking and tormenting her all the while pretending to be her friend. Chris is a classically trained pianist, producer, actor, author and best of all Jack's loving son. A terrific pair of men. Thanks for the guesses, good work and it's your thread Miles :)
