TopBilled
I truly love these threads of yours. There's always a pleasant surprise-- someone I haven't thought about in a while. In this case, it was Barbara Hale, one of my favorites. Thank you!

TomJH
Thanks very much for this thread, SullivansTravels. There were a number of people I was pleased to see are still with us. That includes Tommy Kelly: I spent many a pleasant afternoon as a boy watching Kelly's charming antics as Tom Sawyer in the 1938 Warners adaption of the Mark Twain classic. If I remember correctly, there's a frog under Tommy's hat in this scene. By the way, Ann Gillis pictured here, who played Becky Thatcher, turned 88 a couple of weeks ago. (I wonder if these two actors still keep in touch).

Dargo
Larry Clinton, who also wrote "My Reverie" Bea and the Clinton Orchestra also had a No.1 recording of of the ballad "Deep Purple" in 1938. And Andy, you big baseball fan, you might know that this was Babe Ruth's favorite song, and the song's composer, Peter DeRose, would perform it at the Bambino's birthday parties for years. Gee, I would've supposed that this was his favorite pickup song:
