That thing is a riot!! I love it.

Every time I look at it, I laugh my bum off.

I'm with you db. I can't stop laughing either. Almost choked on the water I was drinking. Whoever created that statue must have been drinking quarts of Vitameatavegamin. That stuff was 90 proof

Cant post pics with my Smartphone, but if someone wants to post a bing image of when Beetlejuice became that horrific, stop-motion snake thing in the movie BEETLEJUICE, do so- because that is what the face on that statue reminds me of.

LOL, ya got a point there...

Is there a Lucille Ball Estate, or family, or friends, or advocates, or somebody, or even fans like you and me, who might do something to have this dreadful monstrosity destroyed?

artist Dave Poulin:

"I take full responsibility for 'Scary Lucy,' though by no means was that my intent or did I wish to disparage in any way the memories of the iconic Lucy image," Poulin wrote in his letter that was sent to multiple outlets, referencing the nickname the statue earned. "From the day of its installation, I have shared my disappointment in the final outcome and have always believed it to be by far my most unsettling sculpture, not befitting of Lucy’s beauty or my ability as a sculptor."

"Yes, in retrospect, it should have never been cast in bronze and made public, and I take complete ownership of that poor decision,"

--so just WHO approved the original clay/wax model of this horror to begin with??

& it's been up since 2009!!

just how long does it take to notice??

A little touch of Eddie Munster is there as well.

This is one of those cases where a young child's hopes and dreams of becoming an artist really should have been crushed by their parents.

Ah, a person after my own heart!

Seriously, this made me laugh out loud this am.

ok the statue is horrible I agree

but my burning question is why did it take so long to bring this to the public's attention???

I heard it has been up since 2009

Guess no one goes to that park there. (LOL).

You have NO idea how much I'm now tempted to say somethin' here like:

"WOW! Has the cost of getting head gone up THAT much recently???"

(...but of course I'm too much of a gentleman to actually post somethin' so puerile)

LOL
