Spring Fever (1927) shown letterboxed on March 27th

Recommended Posts

As topic says.  I DVR'd this title on March 27th.  I just had the opportunity to view it.  I was disappointed and chagrined with what I saw.  It was shown letterboxed (i.e., the top and bottom of the picture was chopped off so that the original full frame 4:3 aspect ratio became something like 16:9).  Why??  I have a recording of this title I made back in 2008 and it was shown properly then (i.e., full frame 4:3 aspect ratio)  I hope the DVD-R of this title that's sold by Warner Archive hasn't been messed with like this.
