nakano
Friday October 29 Saturday, October 30 3h45 am Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) For masochistic film buffs: probably the worst movie ever made by a major studio. So bad there were some riots in the States when it started first run,.I was a customer when it went first run,no riots in Montreal, but a lot of people still remember the word PAZUZU mentioned several times by a drunken Burton in all his alcoholic glory. Stay away if you can,if not you have been warned....
Bogie56
Sunday, October 31 midnight. As the Earth Turns (2019). This is supposed to be made from found footage of a film shot in 1938 but it appears that may be a prank. It had very mixed reviews. 1

Bogie56
Thursday, November 4 8:15 a.m. Escape Me Never (1947). With Errol Flynn. Now if only UA would give the BFI the rights to restore and release the 1935 Elisabeth Bergner version. The BFI has a decent film print but no rights to digitize it. It’s not a brilliant film but Bergner was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar.

I highly recommend Malaya; Tracy and Stewart are in fine form playing characters that are interesting and someone unique for both of them. Greenstreet was loaned out from Warners to do this MGM film and helps add to the overall vibe of corruption. While the plot revolves around rubber it is more hardball; this film doesn't have many soft edges. 2
