erkider
HI All. I just joined the Message Boards today so excuse my naiveté on posting. I am going crazy trying to remember the name of a film where a certain vaudeville-type song was performed onstage by 2 older gents. They were singing to each other in a fun, cheery & playful duet. All I remember was at the end of each verse they would reply to each other "Thank you, kindly, Mr._____" and "You are welcome, Mr _______." I don't remember the character names so I inserted blanks. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any help would be much appreciated as I am dying to find out! Thanks!!
MilesArcher
Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Shean with Al Shean and Charles Winninger was a routine they performed in "Zeigfeld Girl" (1941). It was just shown on TCM recently. Here is a clip: Turn on your speakers and click on the arrow in the center of the clip. By the way, Al Shean was an uncle of the Marx brothers.
