Original Mouseketeer and star of The Rifleman Johnny Crawford dies aged 75

Johnny Crawford, the former child actor who was an original Mouseketeer and young star of The Rifleman, has died following a battle with Alzheimer's. He was 75. Crawford passed away peacefully on Thursday in a California care home with his wife Charlotte by his side, his management said in a statement. In 1955, he was just 11 when he joined the first season of The Mickey Mouse Club as one of the 24 original Mouseketeers. After the first season, the show cut the number of cast members in half, and Crawford was released from his contract.

I can't stand him on The Rifleman. his voice is so nasal. he guested on Elvira mistress of the Dark once and she and him did a hilarious skit based on Village of the Giants.

Elvira is a 30 foot babe and Johnny attempts to lasso her with a rope. she pulls and up flies Johnny ( a doll) on to her bosom. the rest is hilarious. she plucks him off and tosses him away.

I saw a video clip of it so I wish someone would find it. he was a good singer but I'm sorry as mark mccain he was a annoying nasal little putz.

"paw! paw!"

Johnny Crawford's favorite episode of The Rifleman happened to be the most painful to shoot

. . . and then there was one.

Jacques d'Amboise's passing leaves Russ Tamblyn as the last surviving Pontipee brother from MGM's Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954), although four of the "brides" are still with us --- Jane Powell, Julie Newmar (Newmeyer), Ruta Lee (Kilmonis), and Nancy Kilgas.

That is some deep state classical movie trivia knowledge there. Props.

Apologies to National Lampoon.
