In National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), Juliette Lewis's character watches It's a Wonderful Life. (I know it's not a TV show, but who has seen it more times in the theater than on TV these days?!)

In Diner (1982), Keven Bacon gets all the answers right while watching College Bowl on TV.

He was also anti-social in BLOODY MAMA (1970).

"THE COURT MARTIAL" 1956 episode on "The Phil Silvers Show" aka "Sgt. Bilko" - a chimpanzee "Harry Speakup" is accidentally inducted into the army after having passed inspection and eventually is court martialed. I love this episode and it never fails to make me laugh so hard it hurts.
