Not legal

Screen Shot 2020-01-23 at 9.03.49 PM.jpeg

In THE BIGAMIST (1953) having a second wife is illegal.
In VICTIM (1961) homosexuality is illegal.
In THE COTTON CLUB (1984) serving alcohol is illegal.

Gone With the Wind (1939) slavery became illegal during the Civil War.

Rebel Without a Cause (1955) While maybe not seen as illegal, the way Sal Mineo's character is treated by his mother is unbefitting a mother.

Witness for the Prosecution (1957) I don't want to spoil this movie for those that haven't seen it, but something important to the trial is shown as not legal.

Some Like it Hot (1959) Prohibition, Valentine's Day gangster Massacre.

Footloose (1984) dancing is illegal.
