Hilarious supporting cast in MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET. Edmund Gwenn, Macy, Gimble, Judge Gene Lockhart, his manager William Frawley, the hilarious Mrs Shelhammer, and even Thelma Ritter steal the movie.  Who even cares about the romance?

His Girl Friday-- Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell-- They are good but they don't carry the film.

*Ralph Bellamy-- His best doormat performance

Roscoe Karns

Porter Hall

*John Qualen-- Best performance of his career

Helen Mack

Abner Biberman

*Billy Gilbert-- Best comic scene

Gene Lockhart

Clarence Kolb

But they're all great!

PINOCCHIO -- stolen by Jimminy Cricket

THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE -- forget Laurence Harvey, it's all about SInatra, Janet Leigh, the evil ANgela Lansbury, her bumbling hubby, the brainwasher with all the great lines, and the other memorable supporting characters!

THE COCOANUTS, ANIMAL CRACKERS, A DAY AT THE RACES & other Marx Brother movies -- if you pay attention, there are actually main characters not named Marx

DAVID COPPERFIELD -- incredible supporting cast with WC Fields, Edna May Oliver, Basil Rathbone, Lionel Barrymore, Una O'Connor--who even plays Davey? :)

Interesting way to interpret this particular theme. You could probably also add THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY (1947) and SUNSET BOULEVARD (1950).

And there's another Woody Allen film, Alice (1990), that could be added to this category.

It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955)

The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966). The title is in the present tense, but I hope it still fits the category.

They Came from Beyond Space (1967)

Coming to America (1988)
