It crossed my mind earlier but then I forgot to include it in a subsequent post. In a way this film is about two strangers who shake things up in town. Professor Rankin a.k.a. Franz Kindler (Orson Welles) is a stranger to the community and very much a stranger to his wife (Loretta Young). Then we have the investigator Wilson (Edward G.
