*I find being left handed fascinating! Probably because it isn't the norm. I myself am right handed, but my identical twin brother was born left handed. He was trained to write with his right hand by an occupational therapist.

This is great. I love this category. I find it fascinating too. When I watched Allan Lane write with his left hand in a movie, it caused me to wonder how many more there were/are.

So most of the left-handed presidents have been in recent history. Interesting.

Cameos by famous non-actors

Tip O’Neill turned up on an episode of Cheers in 1983. And in 1993, he had a cameo in the feature film DAVE.

Chuck Yeager has a cameo in THE RIGHT STUFF.

King Abdullah II of Jordan appeared as himself in an episode of Star Trek Voyager when he was prince of his country in 1996.

Senator Patrick Leahy, who is a fan of Batman, has appeared in 5 Batman movies (Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).  He has also provided a voice on Batman: The Animated Series.

Very interesting.

By the way, in my earlier post I said the King of Jordan played himself on a Star Trek Voyager episode...but he actually had a non-speaking role on the ship's bridge. He was wearing an officer's uniform. So he was not really playing himself but a random member of the ship's personnel.

This is not a cameo but a larger than cameo role and I do no know how many Americans have seen the series, but former Canadian Prime Minister Stephan Harper was such a big fan of the Canadian detective series Murdoch Mysteries that he appeared as a policeman in an episode.  This was *during* the time he was Prime Minister of Canada. I'm not exactly sure how or why  he did it, but this was *before* the attack on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. There were a lot of body guards on the set.

Some of these politicians want to be TV stars for a day, it's kind of funny.

That's right! I had forgotten about Gary Hart.

I am going to have to re-watch some of these episodes on Hulu. :)
