TopBilled
Thanks everyone for adding to the lists of stars from the south. Gipper, I never realized before how much the voices of Joseph Cotten and Randolph Scott sound alike-- must be due to the fact they're from the same part of the country. Paulll, I never would have guessed Tony Randall was a native Oklahoman..!

LonesomePolecat
TEN COMMANDMENTS-- 1923 & 1956, both directed by Cecil B DeMille KING OF KINGS- 1927 with HB Warner, 1961 with Jeffrey Hunter (and all the other versions with different titles) SHOW BOAT - 1929 is mostly silent, then 1936 and 1951 have those lovely Jerome Kern songs Pretty much all Shakespeare was made in both a silent version and a sound version And Red Skelton's WATCH THE BIRDIE is technically a remake of Buster Keaton's THE CAMERAMAN with some shared gags and such, though whether or not it's the same story is up to interpretation

Frasier: The Show Where Diane Comes Back (1996) The Show Where Sam Shows Up (1995) The Show Where Woody Shows Up (1999) Lilith is in more than one episode, so I won't list each one! (Lilith, Diane, Sam, and Woody each show up in Seattle/Frasier as their Boston/Cheers Characters. 3. Ray and Debra Barone, Frank and Marie Barone, and Robert Barone appear as their Everybody Loves Raymond characters on The King of Queens, (1999 Ray appears in several during different years), (1998), (1999), (1998) respectively. LonesomePolecat
4. Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) They also met Captain Kidd, Jekyll & Hyde, and others First thought was WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT? which has both classic Disney and Warner Brothers cartoon characters hanging out together -- a mega rarity Then of course there's that BATMAN VS SUPERMAN movie that's out now
TopBilled
I Love Lucy: Ann Sothern played as Susie MacNamara (her Ann Sothern show character) (1957) The Ann Sothern Show: Lucille Ball played Lucy Ricardo on Ann Sothern's show. (1959) I like how you related this to classic television crossovers. That particular episode of The Ann Sothern Show is truly hilarious. Ricky's not in it, just Lucy..though Desi was the producer of Ann's show. You mentioned Magnum P.I. In 1982, there was a crossover involving the Simon brothers (who were also private detectives). They appeared in an episode of Magnum working on a case that led them to Hawaii. That was part one. Then, in part two, Higgins went with them back to their home turf in San Diego to finish solving the mystery on Simon & Simon. It aired the following hour that evening. Both shows were produced by Universal and were on CBS on Thursday nights which made it easy to do.
KarmaGirl
The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew met each other a few times. I'm surprised no one has mentioned "The Avengers" and how many Marvel characters has shown up in each others movies.

LonesomePolecat
In the Poirot film THE ALPHABET MURDERS, Mrs Marple shows up briefly THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN is a big mash up of literary characters Similarly MURDER BY DEATH has parodies of most the famous movie detectives-- Mrs Marple, Poirot, Nick &Nora, etc And on TV, we saw all the main characters from MARY TYLER MOORE show up on RHODA for her wedding day Best TV crossover ever, though, is the famous last scene of the series finale of NEWHART where the whole show turns out to be Dr Robert Hartley's dream
