A few about forest fires that are exciting to watch-- THE FOREST RANGERS with Fred MacMurray; and THE BLAZING FOREST with John Payne. Both are shot in Technicolor and have spectacular outdoor sequences.

MarshaKatz
Here are two black & white movies with excellent fire scenes: Fritz Lang's "Fury" (1936) - The scene in the jailhouse with Spencer Tracy catching fire is so frightening. Alfred Hitchcock's film adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" (1940) -- The scene with Manderley being set afire by Mrs. Danvers (Judith Anderson) is truly outstanding.
