Perfect example.

A few about forest fires that are exciting to watch-- THE FOREST RANGERS with Fred MacMurray; and THE BLAZING FOREST with John Payne. Both are shot in Technicolor and have spectacular outdoor sequences.

FIRECHASERS, The (1970-British) Color/101 minutes

Starring Chad Everett, Anjanette Comer, Keith Barron, Joanne Dainton, Roy Kinnear, John Loder.

Everett is insurance investigator Quentin Barnaby who's out to discover what is causing mysterious fires in London.  Lots of location filming in this one.

Here are two black & white movies with excellent fire scenes:

Fritz Lang's "Fury" (1936) - The scene in the jailhouse with Spencer Tracy catching fire is so frightening.

Alfred Hitchcock's film adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" (1940) -- The scene with Manderley being set afire by Mrs. Danvers (Judith Anderson) is truly outstanding.
