I have never been there, but my mother`s sister lived there for a while and Mom and my grandmother visited her for a while. The mother of ClassicMovieRankings is from Montreal and actually dated William Shatner a couple of times. But she met and married an American instead.

I was focusing on buildings earlier and totally overlooked the naming of streets. In Beverly Hills, near the Beverly Center shopping plaza and Cedars Sinai hospital, there is a street named after George Burns & Gracie Allen. I am thinking it was dedicated to them after his death, though it might have been while he was still alive.

MarshaKatz
Thanks, TopBilled The Broadway Theatre District also includes theaters named after Richard Rodgers, Eugene O'Neill, Neil Simon, The Gershwin Theatre (George & Ira) and the biggest theater, and August Wilson, as well as The Brooks Atkinson, The Belasco, Al Hirschfeld, John Golden, and Walter Kerr. In addition, "Strawberry Fields" in Manhattan's Central Park is a living memorial to John Lennon. This tranquil section of Central Park was named "Strawberry Fields" after one of Lennon's favorite songs "Strawberry Fields Forever" which was recorded by The Beatles in 1966. The title comes from an orphanage in Liverpool, where Lennon went to play with the children. This area is located on the West Side of Central Park between 74th & 75th Streets. The mosaic was built by Italian craftsmen and was donated by the City of Naples. The mosaic bears the word "Imagine" the title from the song most closely identified with John Lennon.
