Very cool. Have you ever been there? (Underneath your avatar, it says you are from British Columbia, which is the other side of Canada.)

I have never been there, but my mother`s sister lived there for a while and Mom and my grandmother visited her for a while.

The mother of ClassicMovieRankings is from Montreal and actually dated William Shatner a couple of times. But she met and married an American instead.

I like your list, Marsha. I was focusing on buildings earlier and totally overlooked the naming of streets. In Beverly Hills, near the Beverly Center shopping plaza and Cedars Sinai hospital, there is a street named after George Burns & Gracie Allen. I am thinking it was dedicated to them after his death, though it might have been while he was still alive.

There's a ton in Southern California. These come to mind .....

the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank

Bob Hope Drive, also in Burbank

The John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana

Roy Rogers Drive in Victorville

The Gene Autry Museum in Griffith Park in LA

...I know there's lots more but that's all I can think of

Thanks Gipper! Glad you mentioned Greer Garson's theater. And that you were able to come up with more for Reagan. When I mentioned the library and medical center earlier, I realized I might have been stealing your thunder. :)

Thanks, TopBilled

The Broadway Theatre District also includes theaters named after Richard Rodgers, Eugene O'Neill,

Neil Simon, The Gershwin Theatre (George & Ira) and the biggest theater, and August Wilson, as well as The Brooks Atkinson, The Belasco, Al Hirschfeld, John Golden, and Walter Kerr.

In addition, "Strawberry Fields" in Manhattan's Central Park is a living memorial to John Lennon. This tranquil section of Central Park was named "Strawberry Fields" after one of Lennon's favorite songs "Strawberry Fields Forever" which was recorded by The Beatles in 1966. The title comes from an orphanage in Liverpool, where Lennon went to play with the children. This area is located on the West Side of Central Park between 74th & 75th Streets. The mosaic was built by Italian craftsmen and was donated by the City of Naples. The mosaic bears the word "Imagine" the title from the song most closely identified with John Lennon.

There's one in Newport that I've flow into-- is that the one you are mentioning..? Or are there are two different ones?

Same one--it doesn't LOOK like it's in a different city but it is (all the cities run together down there)

Also in LA we have the

Ricardo Montalban Theater

and the

Kirk Douglas Theater

Streets I forgot earlier, all in the LA area:

Valentino Square

Carmen Miranda Square

George Burns Dr

Rochester Circle

Astaire Ave

Garland Dr

Pickford Way

Fairbanks Way

Hepburn Circle

Skelton Circle

Gable Circle

Bogart Circle

Presley Circle

Trigger Street :)

...in a backwards twist, Charles Bronson got his name from Bronson Ave in Hollywood :o
