starchild64
For the past three years I have been on a quest to watch all the Oscar winning movies since the beginning in the top six categories. I have finally finished with the exception of two. The movies are Two Arabian Nights from 1929. Lewis Milestone won for best direction. The second is The Way of All Flesh 1927. Emile Jennings won for best actor. I had been searching also for Skippy from 1931 which won for best direction with Norman Taurig but they are finally playing it on TCM and I have my DVR set. If anyone knows how I may find these movies in a format for USA machines and legally please let me know.!
shutoo
There's a site called movieberry that lists Skippy..I guess as a download..never used the site so I'm not sure.
slaytonf
Can't say where to buy them, but Two Arabian Knights might show up on TCM. They showed it in the past, I know, I recorded it. As for The Way of All Flesh, I'm not sure, but I think only fragments remain.
molo14
Slaytonf is right about The Way of All Flesh, except for a few small fragments the film is lost. There is always hope that it will be found somewhere, some day.
shutoo
Starchild..hope you caught Skippy on Tom--if not, it's still on list to stream
Ordinant
Starchild64, you may have already seen the short existing excerpt from The Way of All Flesh that was just published on YouTube on July 20th. It's enough to see why Emil Jannings won.
