ElCid
This is being shown as an Alan Arkin movie, which it is. However, I like it because it's a very good story with very good performances by Jeff Bridges, Andy Griffith and Blythe Danner. Marie Windsor and Dub Taylor have small parts in it as well, along with many faces you will recognize. It's set in Hollywood during the '30's with a focus on making "B" westerns. Every time I see an old western from the '30's or early '40's, I think about Hearts Of The West.

HoldenIsHere
I hope everyone gets to see this great movie at least once. It's not very well-known and deserves more recognition.
ElCid
Thought about this movie as a I watched a couple of late '30's Gene Autry movies on Encore Westerns today.
