Since the 70's Drought Areas Have Doubled. Global Warming?

The Global Warming phenomenon is an acceleration.  But you wouldn't know that as you are already convinced of your own truth.

And by the way, if you are so certain of your own truth, why is there the need to preach it to everyone else?  Or are you really just in denial and this is the method you use to keep you there?

Global warming? Kurilskoye Lake freezes for first time in 10 years

With thermal waters, and the warming effect of the nearby Sea of Okhotsk, this unusual lake normally does not freeze over. But this year its famous Steller's sea eagles have been forced to relocate because the ice holes in which  they catch fish have frozen over. Two weeks of calm weather and low temperatures in February - of minus 20C - shackled the surface of the lake with a thick layer of ice.

Konstantin Lepsky, state inspector of the Kronotsky State Nature Reserve, said: 'When we patrolled the area, we walked along the lake in snowshoes for about 18 kilometres.

****************************************************************************

Lakes should not be freezing like this if global warming was real. The ice in the Antarctic should not be growing if global warming was real.

Trudeau needs to PAUSE on global warming religion and look at the science

He wants to make sure that Canada has a price on carbon and that we’ll be a green tech leader as we move to a low carbon economy.

The media has been so busy asking him questions about his snow boarding capabilities and what his wife will wear to the White House dinner next week that they’ve so far failed to ask him about the climate change that a report by prominent scientists say isn’t happening.

**************************************************************

Canada has a lot better things to spend money on than a global warming scam.

Record hole in ozone layer 'no cause for alarm'

The UN’s weather and climate agency said on Thursday there was no cause for alarm about a record-size hole this month in the ozone layer which shields life on Earth from the Sun, as it should shrink again.

The ozone hole that appears over Antarctica fluctuates in size, normally reaching its widest in the polar spring as extreme cold temperatures in the stratosphere and the return of sunlight unleash chlorine radicals that destroy ozone.

****************************************************************************

They scared everyone about the hole in the ozone layer for years and years, now that it is the largest ever they say not to worry. lol

Heavy rain over world’s driest regions another indication of global warming

A new study released Monday shows that “extreme downpours” are hitting both the driest and wettest ares of the world with increasing frequency, and that global warming is raising the risk of the occurrences continuing for the rest of the century. The study was released by the University of New South Wales in Sydney inn the journal Nature Climate Change.

Study leader Markus Donat said that climate change which is projected until the year 2100 indicates “a continued intensification of daily precipitation extremes.” The study examined trends in the most arid 30 percent and the wettest 30 percent of the Earth’s land area.

**********************************************************************

Now we are all going to get flooded out over global warming, last month they said many would die of drought. Nobody is believing them anymore. Even the major media has mostly stopped reporting this stuff because it makes them look so dumb, lol.

Some places like the desert southwest gets heavy spring downpours but stay relatively dry during the remainder of the year.  Las Vegas has always been plague by these quick torrential downpours and have spent millions on a rain diversion system.

Driving a Tesla in Singapore incurs $11,000 carbon tax

When Elon Musk setup to develop Tesla electric vehicles he was hoping to reduce the carbon footprint of the cars we all drive. A side effect of that being we should face less tax because electric vehicles produce no emissions, at least directly. However, in Singapore driving a Tesla is very expensive, not only because you have to import the car, but because there’s a huge emissions tax associated with each vehicle.

It sounds ludicrous, and it kind of is. Joe Nguyen, senior vice president of an Internet research firm, imported a Tesla Model S from Hong Kong for $400,000 (US$289,000). What surprised Nguyen was that on top of this cost the Land Transport Authority was demanding a $15,000 (US$11,000) carbon surcharge. How can that be when the car emits no CO2 when driven?

****************************************************************

The electricity for the car has to be generated, and the amount it uses will be taxed. If you want them to tax you like this in the U.S. then vote for the Democrats and find out what global warming is all about - money. This is what Bernie Sanders talks about, a carbon tax. He will rip people off to pay for this scam and keep all the money for himself and his friends, to spend on his expensive social programs. When our economy crashes this will be one of the reasons why it happens, in addition to the other 45% in taxes he raises on us.

"LTA however has spoken up amidst all the criticism lobbied upon them for their seemingly backward course of action. In response to Channel NewsAsia's enquiries, LTA explained that the Tesla was tested accordingly to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe R101 standards, which measures electric energy consumption as well.

Apparently, the result was that the electric energy consumption of his Tesla car was 444Wh/km, equivalent to a CO2 emission of 222g/km, which is in the C3 band under the revised CEVS. Cars under that category carry a $15,000 surcharge, which was exactly what Nguyen had to fork out. "

In a coo-coo....I mean coconut shell, it's the U.N. nonsense again.

I've Googled the story - it went viral.  Think the U.N. only want people to drive this thing.

Beep...beep.

Wildrose Says Carbon Tax Is Putting Communities At Risk

"The Sheerness power plant near Hanna was projected to stay open beyond 2030, and they even have a record of heavy investments in clean air technology. They employ about 250 workers in Hanna. It is the major industry in that town. Now we have an industry decision being made by TransCanada that this is no longer viable."

"This three-billion dollar carbon tax has filled an awful lot of Albertans with uncertainty and now it's destroyed job security for these 250 workers in Hanna. This government should have looked forward. They should have ensured that there was some kind of plan in place for these workers and their families before it taxed this community out of existence."

*****************************************************************************

This is what happens when you let the lefties take control of the economy, they do ridiculous things like a carbon tax that costs a lot of jobs. Here they are losing 250 jobs and an entire town is going broke now. And it was suppose to save everyone from global warming, good luck with that if they are all unemployed.

And after the left destroys everyone's job they still ask 'what is the problem?'

Global warming could boost rainfall in world’s deserts

Extreme rainfall events in desert areas — like recent storms in Death Valley and Chile’s Atacama Desert — may be partly driven by cyclical climate phenomena like El Niño, but such storms could also become more common in coming decades as the global climate warms.

A new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change suggests global warming will boost rainfall in some of the world’s driest regions. Flash flooding in deserts could become commonplace, according to the researchers with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science.

*******************************************************************

So rainfall in deserts is suppose to be a bad thing? One study says we will all be in a drought, then they come out with a study like this that says even deserts will get more rain. You never know what they will say next. And it is all for more money.

Global warming puts children at risk

The UNICEF report declares: “Nearly 160 million children are currently living in areas of high or extremely high drought severity …As temperatures rise due to global climate change more moisture evaporates from land and water, leaving less water behind ...”

“Crops fail, livestock dies and income drops, leading to food insecurity for the poor as well as rising food prices. Water becomes scarce and the lack of food and water, as well as inequitable access to these necessities, can result in social disorder. Children are among the most vulnerable to these effects.”

************************************************************************

Here is a great example of an article published on the same day as the one that says we will see increased rain is deserts. But this one says water will become scarce and we will all become hungry, especially children. They come up with whatever they need to scare people, it is either flooding or drought, whatever it takes to get more money for this scam. It can't be more obvious than this.

Hillary Admits ‘We’re Gonna Put A Lot Of Coal Miners And Coal Companies Out Of Business’

“I am the only candidate which has a policy about how to bring economic opportunity using clean, renewable energy as the key into coal country,” Clinton said, “because we’re gonna put a lot of coalminers and coal companies out of business.”

She went on to say the government has to invest in “clean, renewable energy” to bring jobs back.

*******************************************************************

This is what they will do, after getting their way lying about global warming they get to decide what businesses get investments that they determine are "clean". Meanwhile millions of birds get killed by wind energy that they keep approving all over the Country. Killing birds is not clean, and nobody ask these people about it ever.

I really wish that all of the idiot climate  change  deniers  could move into one region and live within a big bubble where they could all breathe their own air, drink their own water,  and eat their own food grown in their polluted environment.  How long before they would be begging to get out?  And while we are at it, they can go down into the mines and get their own coal, dig down into the earth and frack  for their oil right close by where they would live.  Of course their poor unfortunate children will have to suffer right along with them, and they would get stuck spending their whole lives trying to deal with the mess their idiot parents left them with.  If only we could separate a section of the earth and let these people live in their own filth.

I am AGAINST unchecked pollution, the industries need to mitigate the byproducts of our modern society. Our biggest problem is waste / garbage - the landfill issue

We have come a long way but 0% pollution is unrealistic unless everyone wants to return to an agrarian society.

mrroberts, ever think where the materials that makes up the iphone, keyboard and computer comes from?  (Petroleum is also used). Can you live without our modern conveniences most take for granted?

How cleaner air could actually make global warming worse

A significant amount of the climate change caused by greenhouse gas emissions in the past century has been hidden from us, scientists say — by another type of pollution that actually cools the climate and temporarily cancels out some of the warming. Two new studies, both released today in the journal Nature Geoscience, address the powerful influence of aerosols — fine particles or drops of liquid often released by industrial activity — on the climate, and suggest that as nations around the world work to reduce this type of air pollution, we will begin to see more rapid warming than expected. And that could hurt our ability to meet the climate goals set in last year’s Paris Agreement.

**********************************************************************

They had to come up with some excuse why we were not having all the global warming they predicted, so this is the solution. Other pollution has caused things not to warm up as fast as they thought. lol And they still expect people to believe them about all of this, even after they admit they were wrong.
