Volcanic emissions: More than meets the eye?

By spitting gases into the atmosphere that form sunlight-blocking particles, volcanoes have a cooling influence on the world’s climate. But scientists warn that satellite observations may be failing to detect the particles at lower levels of the atmosphere—which means that the computer models used by climate scientists may also be underestimating their cooling effects.

This indicates that standard climate models, which depend on satellite observations to simulate the effect of eruptions, are underestimating the role of volcanoes. And it could help explain why global warming appeared to temporarily slow down early this century, as volcanic activity has increased.

**********************************************************************

Now they are trying to blame volcanoes for why global warming didn't happen like they said it would. Can they stop with all of the excuses and just admit they can't predict climate or weather? We don't need to waste billions of dollars on this scam anymore, enough is enough.

....  We may not be able to eliminate pollution but we can minimize it.

Exactly,  one area that is not being fully utiliized is geothermal.

Here is something I've never heard of before, wonder how reliable it is, geothermal heating/cooling for the home.

Trees adapt to higher temperatures, limiting global warming impact

Trees can adapt to rising temperatures and limit their natural emissions of greenhouse gases, according to a study published on Wednesday that suggests plants may have a smaller than expected role in stoking man-made global warming.

"Plants play less of a role than previously thought in speeding up global warming through accelerated respiratory carbon dioxide emissions," lead author Peter Reich of the University of Minnesota told an online news conference.

********************************************************************************

Another shocking admission from the scientists that they don't know what they are talking about, here they say trees are not as bad as the said they were. And yet they keep trying to scare everyone that they do know, as if anyone will believe it now.

I'm speechless too, that must be the most badly written article ever!

OMG,  trees limit their natural emissions of greenhouse gases????  Does that genius know ANYTHING about photosynthesis?  This should had been learned in elementary school.

Emails, tweets too causing climate change

Even as people the world over symbolically dim lights to fight global warming on Saturday, many will join email and social network campaigns that invisibly contribute to climate change. A short email, for example, is estimated to add about four grams of CO2-equivalent (CO2e) into the atmosphere.

Sending five dozen of those four-gram emails in a day from your smartphone or laptop, for example, is the equivalent of driving an average-size car a kilometer.

********************************************************

Now they are adding emails and tweets to the list of things causing global warming, this is how corrupt this whole scam is. Actually I hope people that believe in this stop using the internet, wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air.

Scientists receive grant to sequence Cowpea genome

A team of University of California, Riverside scientists has received a nearly $1.6 million grant from the National Science Foundation to sequence the genome of the cowpea and further their research developing superior cowpea breeding lines.

A high quality reference genome sequence of the cowpea will put researchers in a better position to develop new cowpea varieties with desirable traits, such as higher yield and quality, disease resistance, pest resistance and drought tolerance that are needed in the face of a growing world population, food security issues and climate change.

**************************************************************************

Everybody should sleep better at night now knowing these "scientists" are on top of sequencing cowpeas, lol.

Climate change theory not based on science

The relentless letters from the left about global warming, sorry, climate change, sorry, man-made CO2, will destroy our planet is solely based on misinformation provided by the political left.

1. Total man-made CO2 production is under 3 percent of total world production.

2. Termites produce more CO2 than does man.

3. CO2 has no relationship with climatic changes.

4. Climatic change is due to solar conditions.

5. The "Ozone Hole" is produced due to polar summer and winter.

6. Ozone is produced by lightning and solar radiation, which stops during solar winters, and are six months long.

7. Acid rain and water acidification is the product of volcanic action.

8. Just over 30,000 real scientists dispute the "man-made climate change" scenario.

9. One of the agencies pushing this issue is the "Union of Concerned Scientists" membership requirement are rather lax. My dog, an Australian Blue Heeler, is a member under the title "Dr. Max Dog."

10. All climatic research grants private as well as public are outcome based, per example: "Grant $50,000 to prove oceans will rise 20 feet by 2050." This is not science ... it's BS.

*******************************************************************************

Climate Change theory is based on money, you left out the bottom line.

Would you give up cheese to slow climate change?

If you’re looking for hard numbers, one kg of cheese represents somewhere between 8.8 kg to 13.5 kg of CO2 equivalents (compared to 6.9 kg for chicken and 2 kg for dry beans, for example). And let’s not forget that the dairy industry uses up lots of water, pollutes waterways, and typically relies on methods that can hurt wildlife habitat and soil health when practiced irresponsibly.

Lower-fat choices are better than fattier ones, because when some fat is removed to make butter or whey cream, the overall carbon footprint gets spread around. These include mozzarella, Gouda, cottage cheese, feta, muenster, and ricotta. You’ll also want to go for soft cheese (think Brie, Camembert, and goat cheese) over harder options like Parmesan, because softer types usually require less milk to produce.

*********************************************************************

Are people so clueless that they actually worry about this stuff? They even classify cheeses now on how much carbon footprint they have, lol. Starving on goat cheese to save enough CO2 so Obama can use it up to play golf and take a vacation to Hawaii. Anyone think he is worried about carbon footprints, I hope not.

Red From ‘Angry Birds’ Tackles Climate Change

The United Nations (UN) is teaming up with Angry Birds, one of the world’s most popular mobile games with hundreds of millions of players each month, to spotlight the need for climate solutions.

The Angry Birds have entertained kids and adults alike as a mobile game and are coming to theaters as an animated movie. The UN is sending Red on a global tour raising awareness of climate solutions, culminating in Paris on April 22, for the signing of the Paris agreement.

***************************************************************

They didn't like it when tobacco companies used things like this to promote smoking, but it is OK to use it to lie about climate change.

is it permssable in the coming new world order to decline to be aware of climate change?

can we get deferments to do something else like watch old warner bros. cartoons?

Leading scientists say warming slowdown was real

On Wednesday, a group of prominent scientists published a commentary faulting colleagues who have published papers downplaying or dismissing the significance of a 13-year slowdown in warming rates at the planet’s surface.

“We shouldn’t sweep the early 2000s warming slowdown under the rug,” said Penn State meteorology professor Michael Mann, one of 11 authors of the commentary published in Nature Climate Change.

**********************************************************************

Even some of the scientists can't take the lies being made up about global warming anymore, they even say let's not sweep the truth under the rug. Well that rug has been swept under so many times now you can't walk on it, lol.

Nice try, wingnut. Guess you accidentally forgot to post

this part.

Until 2009, scientists had little explanation for the phenomenon. By 2014, though, it was known that the slowdown was caused primarily by a phase in a slow-moving Pacific Ocean cycle, with fierce trade winds driving more heat than normal into ocean depths.

The slowdown at the planet’s surface coincided with a rise in temperatures in ocean depths, worsening sea-level rise.

“The temporary slowdown in no way implies that human-caused warming has ceased or slowed down,” Mann said. “It was temporarily masked by natural factors.”

Seems reasonable to me. A temporary change in one condition

caused a temporary change in another. Even wingnut figured

that out, which is likely the reason he didn't include that part

in his excerpt. It's an old wingnut trick--put out the big headline

and then never post the whole article, which doesn't jive with

the headline. So clueless. And so funny.

They admit they had no explanation, what else do you need to know. So they come up with a global warming explanation instead of actually knowing why. There is no mystery about this, they were wrong because they can't predict the climate, just like they can't predict the weather for more than 1 day. Does anyone trust global warming predictions when they can't predict the daily weather? They had to finally say the truth that they were overstating everything when it comes to this scam. They also had to change the name of this crisis from global warming to climate change after all. That is because it wasn't doing what they promised.

Veggie-based diets could save 8 million lives by 2050 and cut global warming

A global switch to diets that rely less on meat and more on fruit and vegetables could save up to 8 million lives by 2050, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by two thirds, and lead to healthcare-related savings. It could also avoid climate-related damages of $1.5 trillion (US), Oxford Martin School researchers have found.

The study, published today in the journal, Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences, is the first to estimate both the health and climate change effects of moving towards more plant-based diets for all major world regions.

*******************************************************************

I guess the people who did this study did not read the other study where we will be in a severe drought by 2050 so there won't be any vegetables to eat. No water to grow vegetables, no lives saved. See how dumb these studies are? This is what we are wasting billions of dollars on, another faked study pretending to be science.
