Vautrin
I'm quite disappointed. Fidel came to his father's funeral. I can understand it from a political angle, but you've got to take a chance once in a while. It's not like anyone's going to be remembered for whether they went to Castro's service or not. JakeHolman
Climate Leaders Don't Build Pipelines Back in 2011, Canada made history by being the first country to formally pull out of the Kyoto Protocol. It was a bold move, but yesterday, Justin Trudeau actually managed to one up the feat, albeit in different style. On Tuesday, he approved the Kinder Morgan and Line 3 tar sands pipelines making Canada the first country on the planet to, in effect, promise to break the commitments they made to under the Paris Climate Agreement. According to the commitment Canada made under the Paris Agreement, called an "intended nationally determined contribution" or INDC, Canada has to reduce our national emissions 200 megatonnes by 2030. The decision to approve the Kinder Morgan and Line 3 pipelines not only make meeting this promise virtually impossible, they render other progress Canada has made on climate, essentially irrelevant. To Pitch Pipeline The project proposes to triple the bitumen-carrying capacity of the pipeline from near Edmonton to Burnaby, and increase the number of tankers leaving the Vancouver-area.Notley said Wednesday that it was important for her to go to B.C. and tell people who link the pipeline with climate change and greenhouse gas that Alberta's climate change leadership plan "effectively delinked those issues.'' JakeHolman
My Family Didn't Leave Cuba To Watch Trudeau Praise CastroDear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau:I am a Cuban exile. I am a Canadian citizen. And I voted for you. I want to tell you how I feel about your homage to Fidel Castro. My father grew up as a believer -- not of the man, but of the socialist system. It took many painful years of reflection for him to accept that the system he had admired since he was a child was the very thing that was destroying his country. My family did not flee in 1959. They stayed. They saw everything.I immigrated to Canada with my parents in 2002, when I was 10 years old. We came here to leave the shadow cast by the man with the beard. And even after living here for 14 years, as I sit here protected by Canada's freedom of expression, a part of me hesitates to write this letter. A part of me knows that if it is read by the wrong people, I might not be able to visit Cuba again. The fact that this thought is not completely irrational should tell you enough about the regime of the man you call "a larger than life leader." TomJH
With all this talk these days about fake news, that reminds me . . . Syrian Migrant Men Placed in Canadian High School, Sexually Harassing Young GirlsRebel Media has uncovered an upsetting scenario in a New Brunswick Canada high school where Syrian migrant men, many in their twenties, have been dumped into classrooms and are wreaking havoc on students. I don't know about the accuracy of this report. It's difficult to initially deal with a blaring headline until enough time has passed to possibly discover the true facts behind the story. But, to me, this story has the stench of conservative media hate propaganda about it, especially since I'm having difficulty find any similar reports from the mainstream media. Rebel Media is founded by Sun Media, a renowned conservative media organization in Canada. So anyone else heard anything about Syrian immigrants harassing New Brunswick high school girls? Me neither. Thanks Jake. I see you don't let the truth get in the way of stirring the pot in your hatred about immigrants. You're still posting from these same sources.

LawrenceA
It's amazing how few original thoughts you people have. Just copy'n'paste video after video, or edited news clippings and links to someone else's thoughts. Maybe try communicating with people instead of throwing the same old garbage up day after day.
