CPSO to Ontario Doctors: “Shut Up or Lose Your Licence”
By Karen Selick

June 7, 2021

On April 30, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) announced explicitly a controversial policy that many Ontario doctors had intuitively feared it would adopt. Its Twitter feed, @cpso_ca, contained the framed statement shown below.

CPSO commands Ontario’s doctors not to make any statements that might be considered anti-vaccine, anti-masking, anti-distancing, or anti-lockdown. It forbids them to promote “unsupported, unproven” treatments for COVID-19. (Unproven by what standards? CPSO doesn’t say.) Doctors are further forbidden to make comments that might encourage people to act contrary to public health orders.

Finally, there’s a naked threat: say the wrong thing and you’ll face “disciplinary action”. This translates into, “We’ll suspend your licence, cut off your income stream and impoverish you.”

This is a horrifying statement from both a medical and a legal perspective.

A courageous group of doctors calling themselves Canadian Physicians for Science and Truth quickly pushed back with this online Declaration. As I write this, 548 doctors and 14,487 concerned citizens have already signed it.

The doctors make these three major objections. First, the CPSO is commanding them to abandon the scientific method, which requires vigorous, open debate in order to test existing theories and improve upon or replace them with more accurate ones. That’s how science advances.

Second, the CPSO is commanding doctors to breach their pledge to patients to seek out and apply evidence-based medicine in their care and treatment. Instead of a full range of current and emerging evidence from multiple sources, doctors are restricted to applying stagnant information from only one source: the government.

Third, doctors are being ordered to violate their patients’ right to be fully informed before receiving medical treatment. This implies that doctors will also have to violate their own duty to obtain fully informed consent, putting themselves at risk for eventual lawsuits. Full information about masks, social distancing and vaccinations is not something you can impart to a patient in a 5-minute office visit. Half the world has spent the past 15 months seeking out information about these subjects, and there’s still plenty of room for debate.

It’s therefore easy to see why doctors are outraged by the new CPSO policy. But as a lawyer, I can see two other problems.

First, the dictates of the CPSO violate the Ontario Human Rights Code. Section 6 of the code says: “Every person has a right to equal treatment with respect to membership in any trade union, trade or occupational association or self-governing profession without discrimination because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex…” [emphasis added].

The CPSO’s threat is a clear statement of its intention to discriminate on the basis of creed. Although some people interpret “creed” as religion, it actually has a broader meaning. If ever anything qualified as a creed, a doctor’s Hippocratic oath would. It requires doctors to use their own judgment for the benefit of their patients and to “abstain from whatever is deleterious.” Doctors also pledge to “give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked.”

Any doctor who has extensively researched the scientific literature on mask-wearing, social distancing, lockdowns and COVID vaccinations will know that there is an increasing body of evidence that all of these practices can do more harm than good. More than 5,100 vaccination-related deaths have this been recorded in the US database called Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS), where adverse events are notoriously under-reported. The number in Europe is over 10,000. Doctors can’t “un-see” this information. It forms an important part of the cost/benefit analysis in determining whether or not COVID vaccines are appropriate for their patients.

The CPSO, by threatening the licences of doctors who speak up about these issues, is forbidding them to exercise their creed and discriminating against those that do, contrary to the Human Rights Code.

Doctors also have rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms: section 2 rights to freedom of conscience, belief, opinion and expression, as well as section 7 rights to liberty and security of the person. The CPSO statement, with its implicit threat to cut off doctors’ incomes, violates these rights. As the body exclusively empowered by the state to govern doctors’ conduct, there’s no question that the CPSO is an agent of the state and is therefore governed by the Charter.

Other professionals in the health care industry – chiropractors and naturopathic doctors – have told me privately that they too are being bullied into silence and forced to comply with inadvisable practices such as masking.

Eventually, this issue will come before the courts – possibly when a doctor disobeys the CPSO and is facing disciplinary action, or when doctors proactively hire lawyers to sue the CPSO for violating their rights. For me, the moment can’t come too soon.

Worth a Listen

By Bionic Mosquito

June 7, 2021

While you are out in the yard today, or walking the dog, or fixing the car, or whatever….

Jordan Peterson had a conversation with Rex Murphy. From the introduction:

Rex is a Canadian commentator and author who deals primarily with Canadian political and social matters. He is best known for working on and for CBC Here and Now, CBC Radio 1’s Cross Country Checkup, writing for The Globe and Mail and writing for The National Post. He is a well-recognised and

I found this the most valuable conversation Peterson has had since his return, other than (or second to) his conversation with Jonathan Pageau.  It is worth noting how similar – even identical – the cultural and political splits are in Canada as they are in the United States; maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise.  Maybe it’s the case in the Anglo world, to include Australia, New Zealand, and Britain; maybe it’s the case in all of the remnants of Western Christendom.

Murphy’s is a remarkable story, going from very hardscrabble Newfoundland to a very prominent national voice in Canada.  Perhaps this helps give him the perspectives that he has (as may also be true for Peterson, given his upbringing and where he was raised in small-town Alberta).

The conversation is two-hours long, and I won’t do my usual capture of various statements, etc.  In the video notes, a time-stamped index is offered if you want to find sections of more interest, although I recommend the entire conversation.

I offer some examples from the comments to the video:

Rex: “Trudeau is not as large as the nation that he thinks he’s governing.”! ~ Another dead-on zinger!

“We are allowing charlatans to wreck the intellectual standards of the Western world”

You’re the man Rex. CBC has been completely corrupted without your presence.

“The university is the continuation of a conversation across centuries…” JP just throws off these profound phrases without effort. Brilliant interview. I don’t know anything about Rex, but will definitely look into his work.

“The spine requires calcium and there’s no milk in the CBC.”  No one but Rex Murphy, can bring a point across with such poetic majesty. Love him!

“Dropping their low IQ bombs from a great height.” Rex Murphy

That should be sufficient to give you the tone and tenor.

O Canada, You’ve Got Medical Nazis

By Jon Rappoport

Jon Rappoport’s blog

June 11, 2021

They’re called the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

As their home page states, they “regulate the practice of medicine in Ontario. Physicians are required to be members to practice medicine in Ontario.”

In other words, CPSO is THE medical board. They run the show. If practicing doctors make a wrong move or say the wrong thing, CPSO is there to step on their faces and discipline them and even cancel their licenses to practice.

But now a new rebel group of Canadian MDs has emerged. Why? Because CPSO has issued a fascist edict threatening practicing doctors. Read the threat carefully.

College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario [CPSO] Statement on Public Health Misinformation (4/30/21): [1]

“The College is aware and concerned about the increase of misinformation circulating on social media and other platforms regarding physicians who are publicly contradicting public health orders and recommendations. Physicians hold a unique position of trust with the public and have a professional responsibility to not communicate anti-vaccine, anti-masking, anti-distancing and anti-lockdown statements and/or promoting unsupported, unproven treatments for COVID-19. Physicians must not make comments or provide advice that encourages the public to act contrary to public health orders and recommendations. Physicians who put the public at risk may face an investigation by the CPSO and disciplinary action, when warranted. When offering opinions, physicians must be guided by the law, regulatory standards, and the code of ethics and professional conduct. The information shared must not be misleading or deceptive and must be supported by available evidence and science.”

WE’RE YOUR BOSSES. YOU DO WHAT WE TELL YOU TO DO. SHUT YOUR MOUTHS. MARCH STRAIGHT AHEAD. KILL YOUR PATIENTS IF YOU HAVE TO, BUT OBEY US.

The new rebels against this monster call themselves the Canadian Physicians for Science and Truth. This is a brief excerpt from their response: [2]

“On April 30, 2021, Ontario’s physician licensing body, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), issued a statement forbidding physicians from questioning or debating any or all of the official measures imposed in response to COVID-19.”

“We regard this recent statement of the CPSO to be unethical, anti-science and deeply disturbing.”

“As physicians, our primary duty of care is not to the CPSO or any other authority, but to our patients.”

“The CPSO statement orders us to violate our duty and pledge to our patients…”

I wondered what medical treatments, in general, CPSO supports and tolerates. It took me three minutes to find a Toronto outfit called the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation (CAMH). They promote electro-convulsive therapy. In other words, shock treatment.

In other words, delivering electric shocks to the brain. As a cure for “mental illness.” I call it torture.

Apparently, this treatment is just fine and dandy, but telling patients the COVID lockdowns are criminal is forbidden by the Nazi bureaucrats at CPSO. Saying the vaccine is dangerous is forbidden. Saying masks are useless and harmful is forbidden.

What would happen if these medical rebels, the Canadian Physicians for Science and Truth—say, 10,000 of them—took this war to the wall?

Practiced non-harmful medicine, kept warning their patients about the sociopathic COVID regulations and the vaccine, refused to knuckle under to the Nazi bureaucrats, even to the point of having their licenses stripped and going to jail?

What would happen, as many thousands/millions of Canadians rallied to their side?

I’ll tell you what would happen. Sanity. Revolution. The downfall of the scum.

We’re at Nuremberg 2.0, people. If you don’t know what that means, look it up.

Doctors clear their vision and their brains and do their level best to HEAL, or they follow orders of the Commandants and maim and kill. It’s one side or the other.

In my 83 years, I’ve known a few very good doctors, and a number of The Cold Ones. The Cold Ones administer, without feeling or remorse, the Book of Death.

They’re ice on the outside, and rotting fungus and stench within.

Many of them sit at the top of medical boards.

They turn open societies into concentration camps.

REBEL.

No Forgiveness for 1492

By Steve Sailer
Taki's Magazine

July 8, 2021

Canada is currently undergoing the same **** of antiwhite fear and loathing as the United States, although, due to the lack of blacks in Canadian history, it’s rationalized as justified by white mistreatment of Amerindians in the past. Ten churches in Alberta were set on fire on Canada Day, July 1, as part of a national nervous breakdown over “unmarked graves” at disused residential schools for Indian students.

While in the U.S. the problems of American Indians in the 21st century have largely been ignored because extroverted blacks vacuum up most of the attention, the Great Awokening in Canada focused upon “First Nations” as its sacralized victims. Public meetings in Canada now begin with ritual incantations that “We acknowledge that we are situated on traditional land of the [insert name here] people.”

This doesn’t mean that white Canadians actually intend to give their property back to the First Nations. But it will be interesting to see how they react once it is clear that this symbolism hasn’t reduced the natives’ alcoholism and anomie.

Most likely, they will resolve to make up for their forefathers taking Canada from the Indians by letting in even more Indians from India. How that will alleviate the problems of Indians from Canada is unclear, to say the least, but that’s not the point. The point is to punish whites for having the best countries.

In reality, Canada has less to feel guilty over than most countries. In liberty-loving Whig America, the westward expansion was largely led by settlers, with the government lagging behind and only riding to the rescue when the palefaces got themselves into scrapes with the Indians (which they always did). But in orderly Tory Canada, the state was usually out front, negotiating deals with the tribes before allowing in the farmers.

In both Canada and Australia, acceptable opinion has coagulated around the theory that the plight of aboriginals today is due to long-ago humanitarian efforts to educate them in English at boarding schools. After all, what else besides the transgenerational trauma theory of epigenetics could explain why aboriginals tend to have the same problems dealing with the modern world generation after generation?

For example, Philip Noyce’s 2002 movie Rabbit-Proof Fence is about an evil 1930s Australian civil servant (Kenneth Branagh) who puts sisters of the “Stolen Generations” in a boarding school due to racist stereotypes that their family is tubercular, alcoholic, and abusive.

Ironically, when Noyce’s adolescent leading lady returned to her family, they turned out to be alcoholic and abusive (tuberculosis having been conquered by penicillin), so the director paid to send her to…a boarding school.

In truth, Aborigines evolved over the millennia without exposure to Old World diseases or to alcohol, so they lacked genetic defenses against them. Similarly, Scots, Swedes, and Russians have more trouble with binge-drinking than do Italians and Jews, whose ancestors were drinking wine 6,000 years ago.

They Are Destroying More Than Churches in Canada

The arson attacks on Catholic churches are an assault on religious freedom itself.

By Andrew Sansone
Spiked

July 13, 2021

Over the past few years, the toppling of statues commemorating controversial historical figures has become an all too common sight throughout the West.

However, in Canada, this politically motivated vandalism has turned into something much more sinister in recent days, as several Catholic churches in multiple provinces have been desecrated and burned down.

The church burnings are being seen as retaliation against the Catholic Church for the integral role it played in Canada’s residential school system. This system, which was responsible for the abduction and forced assimilation of indigenous children during the 19th and 20th centuries, is now at the centre of a fierce public debate about the mistreatment of First Nations peoples, after the discovery of over 1,000 unmarked children’s graves on the schools’ former grounds.

Some have responded to the discovery by attacking monuments to those they associate with these colonial crimes, from Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II.

Such attacks are familiar to us today. And we can criticise them for being counterproductive, and for failing to accomplish any meaningful progress for Canada’s indigenous communities.

But the recent acts of arson seen across Canada are different. They represent an escalation on the part of social-justice activists. The vandalising of historical monuments is an attack on Canada’s past. But the burning down of Catholic churches is an attack on the present – indeed, an attack on people’s religious freedom.

The freedom to practice one’s religion is enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It is the first of Canadians’ ‘fundamental freedoms’, and is foundational to Canada’s multicultural, heterogeneous society. We must therefore resist any threat to it, regardless of the cause or group on behalf of which the perpetrators claim they are acting.

No doubt the arsonists would say they are acting in solidarity with indigenous Canadians. Yet indigenous leaders and residential-school survivors have publicly denounced the burnings, and are asking the arsonists to stop attacking places of worship. Perry Bellegarde, the Assembly of First Nations National Chief, said that attacking places of worship is no way to ‘build relationships and come together’.

Bellegarde and other indigenous leaders recognise that such violent attacks on a religion will do nothing to aid reconciliation or dialogue between indigenous and non-indigenous Canadians. If anything, they will merely increase intolerance and antagonism on both sides.
