Justin Trudeau Pelted By Rocks At Campaign Event
By Tyler Durden

Zero Hedge

September 8, 2021

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been pelted by rocks while on a campaign stop Monday ahead of Canada’s general election. The incident took place in London, Ontario – with the Canadian leader later confirming he believes he was hit on the shoulder. The inbound objects were widely described as “small rocks”.

Video shows him being pushed onto a bus by his aides to escape a large and unruly group of protesters angry at his vaccine mandate policies, which include required Covid vaccines for all workers in federally regulated industries, as well as for any citizen to travel by rail, public bus, or commercial flight.

Trudeau didn't even react.  Donald Trump would have taken a dump in his pants.

Isn't it kind of a punk move for Trudeau to call for an election less than 2 years after the prior one?     I get that under this type of system the PM can call an election when it best suits them and this is a good time for Trudeau due to his handling of issues like Covid.

This election is getting some talk here in CA due to the recall election of Newsom.    Dems here are saying the GOP is being punks by calling for a recall,  and GOPers are referencing what Trudeau is doing.   Yea, they aren't really the same thing but the GOP doesn't have much in their bag so they are going this way.

If he had a majority government the answer would be yes.  That said his minority government was ticking along just fine and the NDP who were supporting his government did not wish to see the election.  I expect that he called the election because people generally thought his government was doing an okay job with the pandemic but the only direction was going to be down due to a fourth wave.

One merciful aspect is that the entire election cycle is just 6 weeks.   The Conservatives may win more seats this time out but unless they get over 50% there is no way that they can form a government as no one would come to their aid and support that party.  So, I expect we will be right back where we are today with a Liberal minority government and the Liberals will hold even less seats.

Thanks for this info;    the entire election cycle being just 6 weeks is definitely a  plus.     Here is the USA the cycle appears to never end!

Jake, I get the impression that you don't want Trudeau to win the election next week.

Should he pull off his third consecutive victory, you're not going to resort to crying the blues and claiming it was a rigged election, as you did with Trump, are you?

There is only so much sore losing these boards can take and you have proven for all to see that you are not a good loser.

He should subtitle this thread 'losing feels so good.'
