I am sorry to say that I missed skimpole’s wonderful schedule in original thread.

I love it!

Kinuyo Tanaka is excellent choice for: Star of the Month! She was wonderful actress. I would love to see TCM present: A Hen in the Wind (1948) in particular. I find it a very powerful movie.

The spotlight on: Non-Hollywood Musicals is most welcome! I do hope that TCM Programmers use this idea. I was not aware: Awara (1951) had been shown previously. I am very sorry to have missed it.

I have long wished to do schedule so full of excellent foreign movies. I am sad to say that I never had the courage. Your schedule has very eclectic selection from many parts of the world. I hope TCM Programmers take notice!

I congratulate all entrants on their wonderful schedules! I thank lydecker for bringing us a great Challenge and for suffering through foibles of forum software.

I have reasons to vote for each one. I do not know how I will make decision.

Don't forget to check out the Programmers' notes which are in a separate thread!! (Due to intense problems posting yesterday.)

Apparently the forums were hacked big-time yesterday/last night so perhaps that is why I had so much trouble posting.

I have requested that TCMModerator1 pin the Voting Thread/Schedules and Notes.  Hopefully that will happen later today!

You're all to be congratulated on coming up with fantastically great schedules!

Particularly liked --

Bogie56 -- Ygor as guest programmer (perfect picks). Max Ophuls. Canada Day.

LonesomePolecat -- Shakespeare with a twist. Sheldon Leonard. Whose body is it anyway?

speedracer5 -- Flynn, Hepburn, and Ameche tributes. Gender bending. Preston Sturges.

skimpole -- Kinuyo Tanaka. Warsaw Pact day. Musicals.

Great work from all of you! I always love seeing these schedules.

lydecker--according to my 2015 calendar Monday is the 12th, not the 13th--so do we have until noon, Monday 12th to vote or Tuesday the 13th??  I'm replying to your post of Oct. 8th, 08:00 a.m.

"Polls Close" MONDAY, October 12 at Noon EST (9 AM PST.)  Sorry about that and thanks for catching it.  I should never post when I am not sufficiently caffeinated.

I will post a "last call" for voting on Monday morning.

Less than 24 hours until the polls close for TCM Challenge #30. Pick your favorite from 4 incredible schedules.  You have until tomorrow at Noon (EST) Monday, October 12 to vote.  ALL of the schedules have received votes so it is a very competitive race.  Make sure to give support to your favorite schedule.

VOTE, VOTE, VOTE.  14 hours until voting closes.  Currently we have a tie and the other challengers are very close to the front runners.  It's anybody's win. You can submit your vote on this thread or PM me until tomorrow, Monday, October 12 at Noon, EST.

And, the winner is:

Speedracer5 - 5 votes

Skimpole - 4 votes

Bogie 56 - 3 votes

Lonesome Polecat - 2 votes

As you see it was a very close race and many, many of the voters said it was very hard to pick just one schedule since the quality of all four was so high.

Congratulations Speedracer.  You have the honor to host TCM Programming Challenge #31.  I look forward to seeing what fascinating challenges you come up with.

Congratulations Speedracer5!

Now you have your work cut out for you.  : )

Lydecker, thank you for the great challenge and for all of those helpful tips you posted.  I would have been lost in my first challenge without them.

I would like to encourage some of our other members to give the next challenge a go.  I must say that you do learn quite a bit by doing one of these.  And our TCM programmers should take a look at them too!

Wow! Thanks so much everyone. I can't believe I won again so soon after winning last time.

Thanks again.

When does everyone want to start the next challenge?

Honestly, I would be happy to have the next one start sometime in December, provided it wasn't due until after the holidays.

I already have lots of ideas and am ready to rock and roll.

I'm with you there. While doing this can seem a bit daunting at first, it is really so much fun and quickly becomes addictive.  Also, members who have not previously done Challenges bring new points of view which can make for very some interesting schedules!
