The outbound traffic notices which Malwarebytes blocks for me is www.chastaincentral.com. It appears to be a site Malwarebytes considers malicious that appears to be a geneology site of some kind. Perhaps I should not have googled Jessica Chastain the other day, but I just could not help myself:)

I don't know who Jessica Chastain is and now I'm going to break my habit of recent times & not google her...:D

Jessica Chastain Picture

Really? She is one of my favorite actresses and has nothing to do with that genealogy website:rolleyes: Movies include Molly's Game, Miss Sloane, The Help, Crimson Peak and many others.

Ah! I've not seen those (too much time spent in front of B/W and subtitles, I guess), but I recognize her face.

I wonder why that genealogy site is apparently flagged by Malwarebytes when visiting this site? Some kind of targeted advertising, perhaps?

Perhaps it is my Malcolm Muggerage avatar combined with the ease with which this site can be spammed that makes me a target. If I try to access that site when not lingering here, Malwarebytes blocks it. (not that I want to visit it anyway.)

Couid be, since some of the spam links were apparently to gambling sites - if one of those URLs showed up on whatever blacklist your corp IT folks subscribe to, then they may have automatically blocked sites that reference those URLs (like forums.tcm.com does during spam eruptions).

Or they might just have decided to block the forum as non-work related... :(

If the notices reference invisioncic.com, then not to worry, since the forum pulls some stuff like icons/scripts from there - that kind of thing can sometimes trigger cross-site scripting alerts. It might also be advertising links.

I did go to the high mucky muck about it, who intoned that it wasn't work related. Boo! But I can get on MeTv which has more than enough pop up things, which drive me nuts.

I had to go through 149 pages of spam to find this thread. Not 149 threads, which would be bad enough, but ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-NINE PAGES of threads. This is at 11:07 AM ET. Let's see if the spammers get to a cool 200 pages of Korean advertising before a Mod does something.

to tcm for the marvelous opportunity provided them by tcm to let them strut their stuff. let the spammers enjoy tcm's fixed unchanging film coffer and associated rotation.

next up on my new 7" portable DVD player the flame barrier from 1958 followed by william cameron menzies' invaders from mars...

but not the american version but the greatly superior UK cut with added scenes filmed with arthur franz, helena carter and jimmy hunt for it's UK distribution.

:D

ivor francis: well, we're a little hostile today, aren't we?"

jack lemmon:"no, not a little...a lot! I may tear up your couch. put it on my bill."

Pass Go.

Pass the almost 18 pages of crapola posted by some idiot who should go directly to jail.

You will not collect $200.00 but you will find real posts by real people who are posters here at TCM.

Usually I'm nonviolent but I'd be happy to film anything you do for our sequel to "Faces of Death: Your End is Nearer Than You Think", Lawrence.

The rack, the Iron Maiden, being drawn and quartered and then tarred and feathered. All choices seem appropriate at this point...

I had not realized that it was harvest season for spam. I do hope that Korean farmers are joyous to have such a bumper crop to share with us.

It is an insult to the real Spam to associate that fine food which tastes good fried [particularly if you have been kidnapped and are being held in a basement bunker] with the rantings posted by some miscreant who needs attention and a lobotomist.

By the way my friend who is multilingual in Korean and other languages, says the message being proffered was mostly illiterate as if written by a child of about three years of age.

Seriously, this constant daily interruption of our very important movie discussions here with gibberish like the following is making me want to pull my hair out!:

우리카지노추천 【√SSd367 , COM√】 라이브베팅스포츠베팅사이트

This is like Chinese Water Torture and I'm sure Mengele would have used this approach to drive people nuts, even during his twin experimentation, if he'd had the internet available back in Germany during The Big One.

Who are these people infiltrating the forum. Why are they infiltrating? Is it a Russian plot or have the aliens landed and are they taking over the airwaves and total grid?

Is it time to sing "O, Sweet Mystery of Life" and just surrender?

Any answers before I get out the Exacto blades will be appreciated.

If a fund if taken up for finding a hitman to take out the gibberish instigator, sign me up for some big bucks.
