exapno
This was a GREAT idea last year- I believe it prodded TCM to aquire the pre-1948 Paramount catalog - which includes some of the greatest sound comedies ever- the W.C. Fields catalog, those first five great Marx Brothers movies, the Hope/Crosby Road series, etc,etc.... I sure hope TCM does it again- its a GREAT relief after the March 'Oscar' theme, which means theres an overdose of serious movies for 31 days.... One series I would LOVE TCM to show during an 'April Fools' themed month is the Edgar Kennedy series of shorts..certainly TCM has them in their RKO library someplace! Watching Edgar Kennedy doing 'slow burns' for 20 minutes is funnier than 90% of the sitcom garbage on today....
