Actress Beverly Tyler, who worked briefly for MGM in the 1940s has died at the age of 78. MGM signed her to a contract after hearing her sing on the radio. Probably her most notable role in Hollywood was in THE GREEN YEARS released in 1946. Much of her film career was in undistinguished films such as MY BROTHER TALKS TO HORSES, which co-starred Peter Lawford and THE FIREBALL, co-starring Mickey Rooney. She left films in the late 1950's but worked on several TV shows from the early 50's through the early 60's including HAZEL and ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW.
