You are right...tall not round. I was about 7 or 8 years old (forty years ago!) when I saw Jacques Tati in "Mr Hulot's Holiday".

 

Forty years--dim recesses...indeed!

 

I will add Robert Morley and (how did I miss him?)--Orson Welles.

Did anyone mention Victor Buono? He is the big actor who played the piano for Bette Davis in "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?". Received an Oscar nomination best support for his role as Edwin Flagg.

Also played Bette Davis' stern father in "Hush...Hush...Sweet Charlotte".
