Jake's Trump Thread -- Make America Great Again

Recommended Posts

NIp, it's going to get uglier the closer we get to voting day in Iowa and NH. Trump wins those two and his position is commanding. Nikki Haley is a GOPe mouthpiece who is a rehearsed numbskull.

The GOPe will pull out all the stops to stop Trump. He doesn't fit their narrative. The key for Trump is to have most of all those folks who show up at the rallies to vote. Working class whites will be the key in Iowa and NH. Recent polls in Iowa show him winning in some and the race is a dead heat. Here's some good news.

Take care.

Donald Trump is the new favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination, Betfair said, less than three weeks before Iowa caucus-goers cast the first votes of the 2016 election.

You really are clueless when it comes to politics and have no understanding of the U.S. Constitution.   If Trump does win and the GOP establishment doesn't support him,  they will join with the Dems and override bills that Trump vetoes.

The President can NOT pass bills only Congress can.    If Trump uses executive orders (like some of the crap Obama tried to do),   in many cases the courts will block Trump from moving forward.     This is why much of what Trump says is just empty promises (just like Sanders since he would get little support from Dems in purple \ moderate states if he was President and tried to push Congress to implement his self proclaimed socialist agenda).

I really don't think you will find it to be 'fun',  because Trump will have to bend to what the GOP establishment folks like Ryan and McConnell want (assuming these two are leaders of the House and Senate which is likely) in order to get much done.

In Toronto followers of conservative wacko Mayor, Rob Ford kept pointing to the fact that he lowered city taxes.  When he left office it was discovered that instead of paying out so much per year on programs and infrastructure due to the neglect it would now cost citizens 10 times to play catch up and correct the damage.

Good luck to your nation if the GOP is elected.

Like the old commercial for Fram oil filters, "you can pay me now, or pay me later".  Neglecting to invest in the inferstructure  always costs  big time  in the long run.  Of course any competent  business man would know that,  unless you're just a buy and sell  real estate wheeler dealer like Mr Trump.  Since Reagan  the U.S. has had more than enough Republican leadership (presidents, congresses, state governors, etc) to see where that philosophy of "lower taxes (mostly for the wealthy) and less government (again mostly to the benefit of the wealthy)  gets the country.

S.C. has second lowest gas tax of any state.  The sales tax on vehicles is capped at $300, whether a $10,000 used car or a $5,000,000 plane or boat.  Roads are in terrible shape.  Gov. Haley has vetoed every gas tax increase or other source of revenue for DOT.  Also wants to lower the already super low corporate and individual income taxes.

"and that's the way it should be!" -george brent, the fighting 69th

get a load of what they tried to do last nite when maria bartilomo asked trump if he wanted to recant his no new muslims pledge. these other guys start talkin' about syrian refugees. they won't back trump up yet they doan wanna seem politically correct either....
so they start talkin' about syrian refugees. that sweet couple in san bernardino. they weren't from syria.

trump is right! without proper vetting the risk simply cannot be taken. the most possible assurance of protecting the life and limb of the american people must be the priority.
trump knows it and WE know it! those schtootzes up on the stage with the donald last nite choose not to know it...including both christie and cruz. only the donald is packing the gear.
before sitting down to type this there's that schtootz lindsey graham on TV endorsing jeb bush.

THIS is want people ain't gonna swallow anymores.

a guy who had no appreciable polling endorsing another guy who has no appreciable polling.

If you're going to discuss last night's debate....

I'm afraid I could only stomach 20 minutes or so.....

The discourse was at a level that I half expected some young girls to pop up out of their chairs, lift their blouses to expose their breasts and ask for their "Jerry beads"!

another thing...

why the heck doan they ask the candidates all the same question? instead, they ask different questions of different candidates. you wanna give the public a feel for the differences between all these guys so you should ask the same question of all of them and that way people are gonna get a feel of the differences between them.

our lame news media has forgotten even something as simple and as basic as that?

so my sister stops by this morning and says the same thing I was thinking last nite. she says she doan like the way they conducted the debate. she says they should just ask all the candidates the same question like the big 3 networks did decades ago.

our msm is bleeped up just like our politics. is it any wonder donald trump's common sense reasoning is so befuddling to them.

schtootzes and college boys = stupidity.

They're not debates anymore. And they're totally unmanageable with so many candidates. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I was pleased to hear Mr. Trump's response to Mr. Cruz' New York remarks! (Mr. Cruz is a schtootz).

I've seen a lot of commentary on last night's debate, but nobody is saying who won. Who DID win?

We don't want him back in Canada.

Build a wall and keep him out, thank you.

The thing about Trump is that he will say anything. That, and his manner, has put him in the lead with the sizable right-wing/intolerant community in the Republican Party. But those of us who've seen him over the decades in NYC know that he has many liberal views, and those do surface from time to time, even now.

A particularly interesting thing about Trump is that he is not religious and has no interest in religion. I think some of the evangelicals are beginning to see that. But many are not, and it's rather amazing how the wool can be pulled over their eyes so easily!

I watched Bill Maher's show Friday, and one of his panelists was Ralph Reed, he of the Christian Coalition, and he made it clear that he and his organization are backing Teddy Cruz as their moral messiah. However, he said that Trump has recently "evolved on the issues of religious freedom, sanctity of marriage, and being pro-life." Yeah, sure he has.

Well, "Blind Faith" WASN'T just the name of a short-lived Rock band of the late-'60s filled with guys who spell words with that superfluous letter 'u' ya know, Swithin ol' boy?!!!

(...and so, what the hell is so "amazing" here, HUH?!) ;)

Ya see Lawrence, THIS would be one of the prime reasons you can never trust people like this Ralphie Reed character...their MISuse of the freakin' LANGUAGE!!!

(...uh-huh...'cause the word he SHOULD have used in his stupid little observation about that loud-mouthed Trump would of course be "DEvolved", RIGHT?!!!) ;)

And Trump is excellent at the game of deny, deny, deny.  Like A Guide For the Married Man, even if you are caught red-handed in bed with another woman just deny it.  This morning with Jake Tapper he was denying he ever made a joke about a disabled person.

I can see it coming if he gets the nomination.  He will slide to the centre.  And just as Mitt Romney flummoxed Obama in the debates when he was confronted with some past hard-line or embarrassing moment he will just deny he ever said it and leave his opponent gob-smacked.
