Found a nice print ad for Pitfall in a July 19, 1948 Life Magazine:

Great poster but very misleading one,  which was fairly typical;    this print ad makes the Scott character out to be a major femme fatale and she was only a minor one.       The line 'the only man she didn't want to hurt' isn't close to the truth.   She didn't want to hurt her former boyfriend (or she would have testified against him and turned over the stolen loot he gave her).

It is really the Powell character that hurts more people in this film (and of course Burr being the meanest of them all).

So yet again a women is sold the down the river by the ad department.
