The Set-Up

Hi, I remember this film being good - I think it was directed by Robert Wise, who also directed Odds Against Tomorrow - a film noir with Robert Ryan playing a typically nasty role - that's great, it's got Gloria Grahame in it, slightly past her prime, and Harry Belafonte. My favourite Robert Ryan film is 'Day of the Outlaw' by Andre de Toth - a sort of snowbound Western. Ryan definitely had something. It's a shame he got stuck in scumbag roles so often.
