AndyO
I just picked this up on DVD today and watched it for the first time. I must say I've never been a big fan of Robert Ryan but he was great in this film! Audrey Totter was super as well.
moviegeek
Classic film. One of my favorite Robert Ryan roles.
Katia
Hi, I remember this film being good - I think it was directed by Robert Wise, who also directed Odds Against Tomorrow - a film noir with Robert Ryan playing a typically nasty role - that's great, it's got Gloria Grahame in it, slightly past her prime, and Harry Belafonte. My favourite Robert Ryan film is 'Day of the Outlaw' by Andre de Toth - a sort of snowbound Western. Ryan definitely had something. It's a shame he got stuck in scumbag roles so often. vallo13
Great film I think it came out in a box set last year and it is available on DVD. Martin Scorese watched and learned from this film before making "Raging Bull" in 1980. Ryan at his best. vallo

FrankGrimes
The Set-Up for .67 cents? Well, that's a "big steal." I'm glad you liked it, DSClassic. It's a film that really took me by surprise. My kinda film, for sure. Stoker's heart and mine get ripped up:

Sabrina
One of the neatest things about this movie is that it takes place in "real time." The movie lasts about 90 minutes and the story covers the same amount of time in one evening. Has this ever been done before or since?
HollywoodGolightly
Showing on TCM again tonight at 9:30pm ET as part of an "in real time" theme
