Thank you for that additional clue. I've almost got the whole thing, but am struggling at the end. May I get started (and maybe someone can help me with the last name)?

Laurence Luckinbill it is... and you're quite right, he does usually spell it with a "u." My bad. (Actually, he spelled it with a "w" exactly once... not for "Boys in the Band"... but I would never knowingly use a one-time variant spelling for something like this.) Guess I should have used Lawrence Tierney after all. :-)
