alix1929
Had you been an actor/actress in classic Hollywood, who would you have wanted the most as your leading co-star? Should we do this by decades or just in general? Pucker up!
alix1929
There are too many to just choose one, so I did my list by decade. Of course, I only went as far as 1930's. 1910's -- Rockcliffe Fellowes (I agree with ya, Paty! He's a ****!) 1920's -- John Gilbert, William Haines, Doug Fairbanks,Sr., Ramon Navorro 1930's -- Clark Gable, David Manners, William Powell

Paul Newman Cary Grant James Stewart (there's just something special about him) Gregory Peck
moviesrgr8
I would have to pick Robert Taylor, George Brent, and Tyrone Power from the golden years and Paul Newman and Robert Redford from the 60s and 70s. :-) Mary

moirafinnie12
Like the poet said, "had we but world enough, and time..." it would be fun to think about encountering these lads in reality, but this will do nicely: Ronald Colman (those eyes, that voice, the way he listens) Cary Grant (check out his hands sometime-they're beautiful) Omar Sharif (those sad brown eyes) Robert Preston (funny & sexy) Tyrone Power (post-war version, '30s stuff is embarassing) John Garfield (it's that little smile that creeps in during the tough guy stuff) Jean-Paul Belmondo (better looking with age) Alan Bates (angelic-looking when young, even better as he ages) Aidan Quinn (blazing blue eyes & that worried expression) Raf Vallone (something earthy and thoughtful about him) Sean Connery (need we say more?) moviejoe79
My list could probably go on forever, but here's a few - Rita Hayworth - a must, and one of the most beautiful women that ever lived. Norma Shearer - her smile melts me. Lana Turner - oh so sexy! Veronica Lake - a real ****. Ginger Rogers - too cute for words, especially in the movies she made with Fred. Gene Tierney - another sexy lass. Vivien Leigh - Her eyes were incredible.

flickerknickers
Oh, Alix, you have the cutest ideas! Okay, here's my champion dream figures for lip-locking: 1. Rockeliffe Fellowes (yep, honey, this is one **** I would love to have lip-locked with) I'm sure he would have performed a "Regeneration" on me. 2. John Gilbert (wooo, he just quivered with sensuality in "The Merry Widow"--how could Mae Murray have not married him until the end. 3. Buddy Rogers--the cutest, most adorable male flapper on films. I would gladly have been his "Best Girl." 4. Billy Haines--I'll bet he could have smooched like nobody's business. 5. Buster Crabbe--what a bod and what a dream boat! 6. Johnny Mack Brown--gimme Johnny any day and to hell with his horse! 7. Richard Barthlemess--I would love to have spooned a few hours with him during his heyday. 8. Valentino--ahhh, those smoldering eyes, those beautiful lips, that bronzed torso--I would have flipped my wig. 9. William Holden--whenever I see him with his shirt ripped off in "Picnic" I go into a trance. Such an Adonis--before the booze took over. 10. Charles Starret--I would love to have been Myrna Loy torturning the gorgeous Charles in "Mask of Fu Manchu." And that sexy loin cloth was too hot for words. 11. Bomba the Jungle Boy (alias Johnny Sheffield) ohhh, Johny, how you could swing! I mean, in the vines. 12. David Manners. Paging David. I've got these two weird fang marks on my throat. Could you check'em out. Your buddy, Bela Lugosi, did it, darn it, but he wasn't too bad, either. 13. George Barcroft. This gorgeous Republic Serial villian was so big and suave and sexy and you gotta see him at his most evil in the l947 thriller, "G-Men Never Forget." 14. Francis X. Bushman. Okay, nobody remembers him much but woooo, did he look hot and hunky in "Ben Hur," as the evil chariot driver. Okay, that's all folks!

alix1929
I can't believe I didn't mention WARREN WILLIAM! Oh my, to have gotten to play a love scene with that man... I even know what scene I want to play. I want to do the scene in GOLDDIGGERS OF 1933 between he and Joan Blondell where they do the "cheap and vulgar" routine! Ah, that's top of the line romance at it's 1930's finest. Warren, forgive me...you're still at the top of my list!
flickerknickers
Oh, mi-God, Alix, how could we have forgotten the delicious, the suave, the sexy Warren Williams?
