filmphile
I have a question: Does TCM have the rights to broadcast all films listed on the TCM Movie Database? For example, the following films Bandido (WS) Robert Mitchum Captain Lightfoot (WS) Rock Hudson Man Without a Star Kirk Douglas Thx
markfp2
The simple answer is no. The database is simply a reference tool, and is not a list of what's in the TCM library. If that were the case, TCM would have just about every film ever made.

bollywood101
> Ok..Thanks Does TCM owns the rights to Bandido, > Captain Lightfoot, > Man Without A Star and Gunman's Walk? In a word, no. Bandido was a United Artists release, Captain Lightfoot and Man Without a Star were released by Universal, and Gunman's Walk by Columbia. All are probably available to TCM (was Bandido shown during the Robert Mitchum SOTM about 10 years ago?), so the "Suggest a Movie" box at the top of the page is a good place to start. None of them is part of the TCM Library, but TCM shows other movies obtained from the same studios which own these, so expressing an interest in seeing them wouldn't hurt a thing.
