bansi4
After watching some of the movie "The Fly" yesterday, I just had to share this. "How to Tell the Sex of a Fly" A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Hunting flies," he responded. "Oh. Killing any?" she asked. "Yep, three males, two females," he replied. Intrigued, she asked, "How can you tell them apart?" He responded, "Three were on a beer can, two were on the phone." coolrob1955
The Fly Little Fly Thy summers play, My thoughtless hand Has brush'd away. Am not I A fly like thee? Or art not thou A man like me? For I dance And drink and sing Till some blind hand Shall brush my wing. If thought is life And strength and breath; And the want of thought is death; Then am I A happy fly, If I live, Or if I die. -- William Blake I have this poem tattooed on my back. regards
deeanddaisy666
Just gotta jump in here: A flea and a fly in a flue Were imprisoned, so what could they do? Said the fly, "let us flee!" "Let us fly!" said the flea. So they flew through a flaw in the flue. Thank you, Ogden Nash.........
wmruffin
The Lady Spider The lady spider spins a web With all the strength that's in her, With hopes that when she's done her work The fly will be her dinner. bansi4
Hey, that was some neat fly stuff. OK now, all together, "I know an old lady who swallowed a fly..." naw, I won't go there.
coolrob1955
Famous Hollywood flies The first that springs to mind is the fly that crawled all over Jack Elam's face in 'Once Upon A Time In The West' (I think that was the movie). This was a wonderful performance by a fly and in my opinion deservered the best supporting actor oscar. Regards
sweetbabykmd
What about the excellent performance by the fly on Anthony Perkins' hand at the end of Psycho?
coolrob1955
I believe it was the same fly. It was under contract with Universal studio's for many years.
bansi4
Got me thinking about the fly in "Black Sabbath" (1963). Three horror tales told by Boris Karloff, including "The Drop of Water" in which a greedy nurse removes a valuable ring from the corpse of an old lady. All of a sudden a fly starts buzzing around, and lands directly on the ring while it was still on the corpse, perhaps a warning not to remove it, BUT............................... A eerie episode that gave me the creeps.
jarhfive
Hello, Does anyone remember a "sticky fly paper" comedy 'routine' from some old movie. Maybe Buster Keaton? Rusty
