DavidST
Did anyone notice that the recent showing on TCM IMPORTS of 1960's THE HOUSEMAID was presented in the wrong (i.e. stretched) aspect ratio? This is a mistake TCM rarely makes--remember all those "PSA's (of sorts)" the channel used to run to educate viewers to the value of letter boxing and the correct aspect ratio? Well, TCM Imports messed up big time on the recent presentation. I can't speak for TCM standard definition but TCM HD (here in Tucson, AZ, via Comcast) was stretched (both the movie and Ben's introduction). According to DVD Beaver, the restored version from Korea is 1.55:1. The Criterion Collection edition is described as 1.60:1. The version shown on TCM Imports recently was neither. I hope this was simply a technical error and not the start of a trend. David

Arturo
Around these parts, we are always bombarded in October with "Hispanic Heritage Month", a term I loathe. However, I think it would be interesting if TCM could schedule films from Spanish-Speaking countries during the month. This can be done in tandem with the Halloween stuff, as two themes can be, and have been, done in a given month. Thoughts?
LawrenceA
I would like to see more Mexican films, and others from around Latin America. Spain has many fine films, but they get shown more often, for some reason. A series on Luis Bunuel's Mexican films would be great, or any of the fun Mexican horror films of the 50's and 60's.

Thanks Lawrence. Great suggestions here. Hopefully, some iteration of this can come to pass, maybe for next October.
