MissGoddess
Lol, you got Friendly Persuasion, too? I love that movie! And that's my favorite scene (of course!). It's so funny yet kind of naughty.

MissGoddess
I don't think too many movies implied Quakers, even married ones, making hay!
FrankGrimes
I don't think too many movies implied Quakers, even married ones, making hay! Ohhh, sure they did. Of the numerous Quaker films that I have seen, I can't think of a single one that did not feature hay makin' or field plowin'.

MissGoddess
Very good Theresa! And since no one's guessed them I'll tell you the answers to the rest: 1. D. $5 2. B. French Deck 3. B. Richard Nixon 4. A. Sawmill 5. C. Frozen Pizza
coopsgirl
Great pics! My first thoughts on a couple of those were French deck and sawmill. Dang it, I should have answered them! Thankfully I?ve never seen any of the *Die Hard* movies so I definitely missed that one . My friend Lisa loves Bruce Willis so I?m surprised I have missed them. Wow, while I?m peacefully dreaming (only sweet dreams of course ) y?all are talking about Quaker pornos!! I would never let my mind fall into the gutter like that . That scene in the barn is really cute. Besides the shirtless wood chopping scene , some of my fave parts are the scenes with Marjorie Main. I love it when she and Gary are driving her horse and they make a deal to swap horses and she put her hand out to shake and he doesn?t at first and she says ?don?t leave me hanging?. That cracks me up every time!!

I love Marjorie Main and her brood of man-hungry daughters!
coopsgirl
I just can't understand why those girls go after Anthony Perkins and not Gary .
MissGoddess
I know, what were they thinking?! It can only be because Tony was single. Although I have a friend who thinks Anthony Perkins was the hottest. Can you imagine?
coopsgirl
*It can only be because Tony was single.* I guess it really would have been out of place to have three women throwing themselves at a married man in a family movie. That can be the only explanation .

coopsgirl
I got a new bunch of Gary clippings today and I scanned them. *These first four are from 1947 when Gary was staying at someone?s ranch* *This one is from Sgt. York and on the bottom of it (which I cropped off) it said ?most beautiful still of the month? which is something some of the old movie magazines ran* *1933* *1929* *His Woman* *Saratoga Trunk* *The Westerner*
CoopsGal
A-mazing photos, Angie. I adore that first one. I love to see him on his ranch -- he's so natural! (Well, he's natural at darn near everything but he looks so happy when he's on his ranch.)
MissGoddess
I just love a cowboy who'll wear a tie to do his farm chores!
coopsgirl
Yeah I loved all those cowboy pics :x. I got tickled seeing him sitting on that bull. It was definitely more tame than the one my great uncle had when I was a kid. Me and some of my cousins wandered into the wrong part of the pasture on his ranch one day and this big black bull took off after us. Thankfully, we were on the four wheeler and we got away. That was about 20 years ago and I still remember how scary it was. I thought it was funny too when I realized he was wearing a tie. He was always well dressed . I like that one too of him milking the cow. He's not even looking at it and the milk is going right into the bucket. I know I grew up in the country around cows, but I ain't squeezing nobody's teet! CoopsGal
I grew up in the country around cows, but I ain't squeezing nobody's teet! I just guffawed in a public library. You are SO bad, Angie...

coopsgirl
Everytime I hear that song ?You?d Be So Nice To Come Home To? it makes me think of Gary :x. Sorry I made you laugh in the library Kim (nah, I?m not really sorry, I bet it was funny ). I had another dream last night that I was having an affair with Gary. This is the second one I?ve had like that where?s he really like he was (a movie star instead of just a regular person which he usually is in my dreams). In this one he was in his early 50s and it was his and Rocky?s anniversary. They were at a party for it and I was at home getting all dolled up b/c he was coming over to my house later. I remember being in this huge, beautiful bathroom putting on makeup and fixing my hair. I had on this gorgeous fancy floor length white nightgown too. Sadly, I woke up before he got there . I?m telling you I turn into such a little tramp in my dreams. It?s all Gary?s fault though. He could make any good girl go bad .
