What do you guys think of her?

I always thought that she did a great job making Audrey Hepburn, Deborah Kerr and Natalie Wood look fantastic in roles that were beyond their range!...singing wise anyway!

I can't believe that the studio kept this gem of a talent hidden from the world!

She should have had a great career in musicals on screen!

Well, I wouldn't feel too sorry for her, I understand she's had a very good career as the singing voice of stars and other singing work. I don't know anything about her personal life, but perhaps she was happy with what she was doing and didn't want to be a "star"and have all the stress that goes with it. If you want to see her face, she played "Sister Sophia" in "The Sound of Music".

I saw Marni (and Margaret Whiting) in an off-Broadway production of the musical "Taking My Turn" in the late 80's. Marni was a lovely, middle-aged woman and in great voice. I remember she had a beautiful solo called "And They Played Vivaldi." PBS broadcast this a couple of times, but I haven't seen it since. Does anyone know where I could get a copy?
