Hitchcock Trivia

Recommended Posts

JackBurley, first of all Hitchcock didn't want Anne Baxter for the lead actress. He preferred an actress named Anita Bjork.

Being a Catholic, he was also dismayed that some critics, Protestants, atheists, and agnostics doubted that a man of the cloth (Montgomery Clift) would remain silent and sacrifice his life for such a thing.

And his pet peeve was that the movie suffered a lack of humor. He went on to say, "We shouldn't have made the picture".
